Game changer for us, our neighbors and our dog.
Kelly✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 5, 2023
This collar and remote were a game changer for us. Although it was pricey, and maybe over more than we needed since we only use it with one dog (an OCD English Setter), it's made life much easier. We already use an invisible fence, and our dog respects that border with no problems, but at night he would get so busy 'hunting' on our land, that he wouldn't come in when called, even though he has been trained to do so. There were many nights that I was out in the yard, chasing him around with lunch meat in my hands at 11:30 pm :-( (I know, say all you want about my training skills, I'm not claiming to be a pro dog trainer!!). We love the lights on this collar so that we know exactly where he is in the yard and we only need to use the tone setting at home to get him in the house at night. When we're at our lake house, having the variable correction settings is a must because he's run off in the swamps, chasing deer and we worry that he could get hit by a car. The correction brings his attention back to us, when calling his name and giving a command is useless when he thinks he's hunting.
The only way this collar could be better, is if the bark control feature could be used at the same time as the regular collar function. But barking isn't much of an issue for us anymore (this collar helped considerably with that, since I'd turn it on bark control in the early mornings when he's go out so he didn't disturb the neighbors and I knew he'd be right back in to eat), as we just call him in now anytime he barks and so he's stopped most of his nuisance barking.
Worked for us

We got this because our dog is still very puppy-like and would run off it he was not on a leash. However, we don't have a fenced in yard and we wanted to give him time to run off some energy. The buttons were a little confusing. The buttons on the side or so that you can train up to 6 dogs with just one remote. So we only use one for our dog. I like that it has a light on the collar that you can turn on and off with the remote. We had another collar that gave great instructions on how to start using a remote collar, but it used batteries. A lot of batteries. This one has a plug to recharge the collar and the remote. Look online for how to start training. So now our dog can be off lead, he gets to run off that puppy energy and explore the yard.
Well Worth the cost

This collar system is amazing. I was hesitant to purchase given the price point, however I'm happy to report it's well worth the money. It's easy to use with multiple dogs and the range is fantastic. Although my dogs have great recall, sometimes their curiosity gets the best of them. They have taken off after bears numerous times while hiking, just pressing the tone button brings them running back to my side, avoiding unnecessary close bear encounters. I'm very satisfied with the ease of use and the overall quality.
The best of the best!!

Don't waste your money on any other brand or model. My Cane corso woukd not even respond to other brands of collars so finally made the decision to purchase this one and I wish I would have went ahead a purchased this at the beginning because it would've saved me money!! I've only had to shock him once!! He now just comes to the tone mode. You do have to charge the collar 3 times a week if you use it daily. The remote stays charged forever.
I was skeptical of using a collar like this. However

I was skeptical of using a collar like this. However, the trainer we used said its a far better way to communicate with the animal. We have a great dane. I've personally verified the range up to at least a 1/2 mile. When he'd go out of sight, we'd first use the tone button, then a low level. If he didn't return, then I used tone and one higher. We did this until I heard a yelp and he came running out of the woods back to the house. After doing this twice, maybe three times, now he hears the tone and comes running to the door. When we're in public, the tone is all he needs for a correction. We haven't used the zap settings in months now. And people are very amazed at our 140 lbs 8 mo. old great dane's demeanor and obedience.
