Initial impressions are it works great. It offers correction immediately when the buttons are pushed, and the corrections are effective. We have the shock setting at 23. But we mostly use the buzz feature, which works most of the time on our Lab. It's only when he's running full tilt after something that we have had to use the shock and it works. He immediately heads back to us. This is especially important when a dog is running towards a street, or at a wild animal that could cause him harm. We've had less expensive training collars and they worked intermittently, which is very bad. Consistency is critical when using training collars and it's frustrating to have a delayed correction. You certainly do not want to correct a positive behavior like running back to you. We bought this one based on the recommendations of friends who have used them long term, so I expect we will have the same success. I would recommend this unit.

Plenty of settings gentle enough for any situation. Is great on battery life. My corgi Has a real problem with the door bell. After a few weeks of wearing The collar. There was a noticeable change with him when he's not wearing it.

Product arrived quick and the device was so effective that when the recorder plastic broke a few months after having it(was covered and replaced by manufacturer) my dog was already fully trained and I didn't need it anymore! I never once hurt my dog in anyway and that's not what the device is meant for. The "˜shock' should do nothing more than get the dogs attention and should be associated negatively with a phrase such as "˜no or bad'. Then you use the hand clicker it comes with and associate it with something good, like a treat. So when the dog does something good, you use the clicker and then give them a treat. After a short while, you don't even need a treat. The clicker is enough for the dog to follow commands. If there is a behavior you are trying to correct, you use the remote to send the light shock to get the dogs attention and tell them "˜no or bad' and do not reward them with a treat. Then you redirect the dogs attention to the good behavior that replaces the bad. For instance if your dog has an issue with running off, you would in a controlled environment have her run off and then hit button on your remote and tell the dog no, then use the hand clicker and the command you are using to correct the behavior such was stay or come and when the dog stays by your side or comes back to you. You give them a treat.

Back to the remote. Super easy to use. You only have to charge it maybe once a month depending how much you use it. I charged it weekly, just so I didn't have to worry about it. The range is incredible. There are plenty of levels to the power of the shock and the instruction book clearly tells you how how for your type of dog and for what type of behavior. (For instance If there is an emergency situation and you need to stop your dog, you can use a higher setting for a jolt that should stop the dog without injuring them. They also have two power setting depending how you got the Button, so you don't have to worry about messing with increasing it when you really need it. It's compact, so I could easily hook it to my pants when going for a walk or run.

Lastly, the seller PetTek is fantastic. They responded to my issue almost immediately even past 11pm Eastern and they got me to the people to fix my problem in no time. 10/10 recommend buying any product from them.

You can tell that engineering and thought has went into this product. I use this with my hunting dog and it is very effective. Had a couple of issues after many uses and long period of time. There customer service is top notch and the issues were quickly resolved. I will buy there product again.

It's a great product for dog training however it was the 2nd one I have ordered and purchased. The 1st one, the receiver went bad and once you have trained with an E collar you and your dog are lost without it. The company is apparently sending me a replacement receiver. You almost need 2 of these because when one component fails you need a back up on hand.
