Your child is the product
Mary McCleary•August 24, 2018
This device advertises to your child from the home screen. They also lie to you in the form of a privacy policy which claims it was last updated June 6, 2013. That's either a lie or utterly irresponsible. I am a lawyer but I didn't read the whole thing, just skimmed enough to be pretty sure it doesn't contain an justification for the claim that you have to pay an additional 50 cents as a "requirement for COPPA compliance." So I guess arrest execs at Amazon and Kurio? Because they both make tablets that work for the sticker price. I started up using only my son's name and the tablet told him to ask his Mom to finish setting up his tablet. I wonder how a kid who's mom is sick or absent feels when that message comes up. I wonder how Nabi managed to staff a whole company with no one who cares.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!

**IT ONLY GOT A STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO PUT ONE IN ORDER TO SUBMIT!!!**
I ordered this as a birthday present for my daughter. She is 4, ad I didn't think that she was old enough to handle a regular tablet, and felt that a child one was more suitable. The set up was easy. But that was the only thing!!! After setting it up, she plugged in her headphones and played with the tablet all of 3 days. After that she couldn't hear anything. I thought it was the headphones, so we took them out, still couldn't hear anything. Then I goggled the problem and saw that other parents has had the same issue with his tablet. So I finally got it to play without the headphones after resetting the tablet back to factor and setting it up again. Once the setup was complete for the SECOND time, she wasn't able to use any apps that weren't originally apart of the tablet. THAT PART SUCKED!!!! That was the main reason why I bought the tablet, because she could use pre loaded and apps from the Google Play Store at the same time. That was the finally straw and I boxed everything back up to ship back. While printing out the return label I found out that I was only going to get back part of my money because they charged a 15% return fee, and that I had to pay to ship it back to LA. That cost me $23.00 to send back. And I know to some that is not a lot of money, but to me a single parent, that was a unnecessary cost for something that I am returning because it didn't work. I have learned my lesson, will NEVER purchase a Nabi again, and will NEVER purchase from this seller!!!!

Huge disappointment

The tablet was really wonderful while it worked. I was able to set up a profile for each of my children, that way I didn't have to buy a tablet for each of them. It tracks their usage and allows me to limit time on the device and/or specific apps. Unfortunately, after using it for only a couple of months it stopped working. It would just freeze on the boot up screen. I followed to instructions to hard rest the device, wiping out all the settings, profiles and additional apps I had installed myself. We were able to use it after that for a couple more month and then the same thing happened. I did not try to contact support because the one time I called in about a billing question it was very frustrating and not helpful.

Perfect Device for keeping your kids safe in the virtual world!
S. Allen•April 30, 2017
I purchased two of these for my older children. Today kids have so many technology devices at their fingertips, and after much research, I felt the Dream tabs were the safest option. For example, dream tablets have a "mommy mode" where apps can be added or taken away. Once the device is out of "mommy mode," the child has no way of adding apps, or changing the features you have added. I believe the best part of the Nabi Dream TAb, is that if you want your child to practice math, or reading, or whatever educational material you feel they should practice, you can actually set the tablet up, so that your child has to complete a half hour (or whatever time frame you wish) of that material, before it opens up the rest of the tablet for the "fun" apps. Also, you can set up the tablet in a way that the more time they spend on certain apps (apps you as the parent want them to use, for example math or reading) the more time they will earn for "free time" on their Nabi Dream tab. It really is a great feature, it makes them practice math or reading, while earning time to play games on their device later. You don't have to use these features at all, as this is just a choice on the parents end. Also, there is a bed time setting, and a wake up setting. You can set the Dream tab to turn off at a certain time of day, then wake up at a certain time of day. This is great, because you don't have to ask your kiddo to stop playing a game at bed time, the device will just shut off at whatever time you programmed it to do so. We really like these tablets, and I feel they keep kids safe at the same time as they give them ample amounts of fun screen time as well.
