Works in reverse too

I used this in the reverse direction with the shiny side out to protect my camera gear and tripod from the sun's heat between taking shots of the recent eclipse. It worked perfectly to keep my gear cool in the sun and the grommet holes were handy for keeping the wind from being a problem. This is tough with a quality feel and offers excellent protection.

Thin and not durable. Reflective surface was bubbled and separating already when it arrived and before use.

I bought these to use on the tent ends of my RV. I literally couldn't be happier. The cut down the heat from the sun bearing down on the tenting. Major bonus, we used to get condensation on the tenting that would drip on you when you sleep. No good. When using these; no condensation. LOVE IT!

These are excellent. I got them for the rooftops of our popup's pullout beds and they absolutely reflected the sun in a big way and kept the inside much cooler. I bought the 1-Inch Spring Clamp, 20-pack BORA 540520 from Amazon, too, to hold them in place. I used 2 overlapping mats on the king beds and one for the slide-out dinette's roof. Because of the orange backing, they are durable and reusable. We went through a dandy storm one night with good winds and the mats held in place - no damage to them at all. We folded them up and they're in the camper for our next trip. And in the fall we will place the reflective side down to keep the heat in the popup. Very universal. Very affordable. Excellent product.

These blankets are amazing. Seriously. They reflect a crazy amount of heat back at you, and they're huge. You can make a tent with them. You can use them at the flooring for a tent. You can bring them with you to a theater because your wife gets cold easily...but you have to make sure that she opens it before the movie starts, because they make a BIT of noise when you use them because of the foil. With that said though, If you're looking for a reflective blanket that also doubles as a tarp and is extremely resilient, (seriously these things can take a beating for ages), get one of these. Get one of these for everyone you know, and an extra one for you.
