works mostly as advertised

This is our first exposure to a food slicer. It does have some limitations, especially with american cheese, cutter over all it works as advertised. Cleaning is more complex than we expected
Decent home slicer

Works great and I've had no problems with it. I've saved tons of money on lunchmeat since I can buy quality meats in bulk and slice it myself for a fraction of the price. Can handle anything from thick ham steaks to deli-thin slices.
Few comments with the design:
- The sliding board on the back is a bit too flimsy, and depending upon your technique may cause your slices to be SIGNIFICANTLY thicker (or thinner) than intended
- The way the meat exits the slicer wasn't really well consider and it just flops there on the back of the unit, requiring frequent pauses
- The slicer comes apart well for easy cleaning of the components
- There's no good way to clean the main unit since you can't exactly put it in the sink (and it comes in contact with food no matter what you do)
Be sure to purchase food-safe lubricant with this, along with cut resistant gloves for everyone that will be using it.

Very easy to use. Professional grade at a low price. Slices paper thin or mega thick.

Works like a champ...very happy with this. The cleanup is pretty easy, it cuts very easy. We used it on some leftover prime rib and made sandwiches out of it. I thought it was going to be junk because of the price but not at all. Well made, works fantastic.

I made Italian beef sandwiches and this slicer was the greatest! We also sliced meat for jerky and we froze it for a couple of hours and it was amazing! I love the thing.
