Just what I was looking for.

This is just what I was looking for after I saw my sister with her rolling under seat bag from another manufacturer. Hers is pretty and sexy and more expensive. I was willing to give up pretty, which after it gets kicked around enough in the airport, just isn't that pretty anymore. I read reviews all over on everything out there and finally decided on this Ciao Rolling Bag.

For one thing, it looks just like the ones the flight attendants use for themselves. They must know something. Secondly, it had the features I wanted: lots of outside zippered compartments, zippered compartments on the inside, a sturdy double telescoping handle (the one thing everyone seemed to complain about with the "pretty" ones is that there is a single telescoping handle that wobbled after it was raised.) and a durable fabrication on the outside. This Ciao meets all those requirements.

It actually has more compartments on the outside than I could see before I ordered it. There is one in the front for tickets, documents, etc. Then there is one right under it that perfectly fits an iPad or other tablet. There is a outside compartment on each side that will either fit a water bottle, pair of shoes, or whatever. It is deep enough to hold those things, unlike some complaints I read about other bags. What I really appreciate is the very sturdy double handle at the top that uses Velcro to keep it together. This configuration allows me to attach it to my other suitcase so that it can piggy-back on it. That REALLY makes me happy. It is so secure that I do not worry about it falling off and eliminates the need for a luggage bungee cord because I actually put the double handle over the double telescoping handle of my larger bag. Perfection!

The inside compartment snaps securely shut so that after you have packed a myriad of wardrobe necessities, they will stay snugly in place. (It does open up so that you can see the entire inside of the bag. The pictures do not really make that clear.) Smart packing and not leaving air spaces all over will allow this to hold, oh so much. YouTube has some videos on how others do this. Fascinating to watch all this stuff come out of such a small space.

I have not found anything about this bag I do not really like. So glad I opted for practical over pretty. I did read a complaint about the zipper pulls. What's not to like? I can see them practically in the dark, they are so big. Nope. Love it.
Used for 3 international trips but now swapping for another brand

This is a good bag for underseat or overhead, and I used it for 3 long international trips as my ONLY luggage (for clothes & personal items). It FITS MY MACBOOK PRO 16"2021 (actual measurements 9.75" by 14", the 16" measurement is the diagonal screen) but it fits INSIDE the MAIN compartment, not in one of the zipper sleeves.

I liked it, it worked well, I like that I no longer lose luggage by having an underseat "guarantee" with a bag this size. I want smooth effortless travel. I used to carry an Osprey backpack, but I got tired of long hair vs backpack when I want my hair down, and shoulder weight, and hoisting a backpack on and off all the time in airports to get at needed items. I loved the difference with this bag. I'll still use the backpack if going somewhere "rough and wild." But for underseat roller, I am trying another brand now, for the following reasons that ding this brand for me:

1). I hate the wheels. As expected with 2 wheels recessed, they only track forward. They do not "slide" when you suddenly need to change position, or for tight spaces, like food lines and airplane isle. They require you to drag the bag behind you, and when you are traveling in a group with some walking behind others, it increases the group spread to have a bag dragging behind at full handle length. In tight spaces I often quickly had to slam down the handle and pick up the bag, it works to do that, but I kept craving spinner wheels in those instances. Quick turns make the bag hop. Of course, there are some airlines with small planes that may reject spinner wheels as underseat, but I will pick up an "underseat spinner" in those rare instances when walking past flight attendants inspecting for such, when I swap.... as I will be choosing spinner wheels for a next choice.

2) Quality is decent, but the handle is slightly wobbly, mostly this did not bother me. But it sorta did, I want to buy quality and it seems so hard to find in this age of cheap manufacturing.

3). It has no rear sleeve to stack on top of another bag. Yes, I said I used this as my sole bag. I did. But I have often needed other equipment or I have had to bring supplies to others internationally, things that they cannot source where they are, and for that I check a bag. You may be doing both for other reasons. So with this little underseat bag, you basically have to wheel two bags side by side, or you have to bring another strap, all inconvenient.

Other tips for underseat bags:

This bag *does* allow a bit of main compartment access when the retractable handle is extended and the double fabric handle is velcro'd together: see pics, you can have a toiletry bag in the MAIN compartment still accessible for security, if you choose, to allow the exterior pockets to work for other things for in-seat plane needs. This also allows exterior pockets to remain flatter, my choice.

This bag does have two side zipper compartments, you can use one for battery pack with charger, and the other for phone and earbuds or perhaps a water bottle. It is better to not make those edge pockets bulge too much, because it will become tighter to fit underseat. Outside pockets work well for other small items, or a small paperback, kindle, passport, etc. (Note that I have walked on planes with a wallet-on-a-string type bag NOT packed inside -- along with a couple of other bags -- and never been dinged for it as another bag -- it is basically like a lanyard holding phone and passport and credit cards, but it is nice enough for city use)>

See pics for all the pockets, and a photo of the macbook inside.
Pack between the uneven bottom, as where the handle retracts leaves some low points. It is nice to fill those separately.

To use for long travel as only luggage: I pack clothing of jersey or rayon or silk or merino, all very small volume fabrics to pack plenty of clothes, and wear sweaters and other bulky items on the plane. I do pack slim volume sweaters inside this bag. I pack one pair of luna sandals inside, or a pair of compact flats. Basically I pack a couple pair of small-volume-slacks, leggings, a few t-shirts, jersey skirts, jersey dresses, silk to double as scarves/belts etc., toiletries, laptop, backup battery, ipods, small purse, chargers, kindle or ipad, and more. The trick is fabric choice, 100%.

All this said, I have decided to try the Verage underseat bag, taking that one on a trip very soon and will review that in a month or so.
Very versatile.

I took my new Carry-on with me on my first trip over Christmas. First and most important was that I could pack alot of necessities that I need to have with me in case my luggage gets delayed.

Second most important was that it would fit easily under the seat. It did.

The third criteria was not quite as great. I initially wanted luggage with spinner wheels but opted for this because it was good otherwise. I found that it was smooth riding most times, but when I had to navigate in crowds it got a little squirrely. It bobbled around until I could find a clear, straight path.

This will not deter from using it in the future. I would just mark this info as good to know
Lightweight, spacious and priced just right - Finally!!

First let me say that I have been looking for a bag like this for a long time. I currently have a leather rolling laptop bag and my job requires me to travel a lot. The leather lap top bag is way to heavy and I have strained my shoulder muscle so I needed a bag with lots of compartments that is also light weight.

I found the perfect bag! I have used this lap top bag on an international flight. It fits easily under the seat as well as in the overhead bin. There are many compartments to keep me organized and plenty of space for my laptop and other things. I used the bag to store my laptop, my ipad, and two additional ipads that I had bought my children as gifts. I also used it to store my jewelry bag, a book with work materials, two files, my bag with my laptop cords and all other cords for my electronic items, and my beats head phone pouch (which is quite bulky).

I also found a handbag on ebags the same colour, made from the same material and they compliment each other to the point where it appears as though they are from the same set.

This bag is a really good purchase.

Con: the only downside I can determine thus far is that the straps are not sturdy/stiff, therefore, they hand/droop downward and therefore they can drag on the ground. I have overcome this by hooking the straps around the handle before pulling the handle out. This secures the straps and ensures that they are not dragging on the ground or in the way.
