Meets expectations, matches description, but the smell is a little over powering

Bought this as a gift for a friend, and he loved it. It met expectations. People weren't lying about the smell though. The leather has a bit of a farm smell to it. I'm not referring to a good leather smell like I had hoped. It's somewhat strong if your bag is confined to a space, say your car for example. After a couple of weeks, it still smelled strong. hopefully it goes away with time.

I was so happy to find this bag and for a great price!! It smells like nice leather and didn't need the 'airing out' that some others mentioned. I'm hopefully that the leaver will darker up some more as the bag ages.

Beautiful quality and great price. I have been looking for just this item. I returned two bags that I bought at a MUCH higher price and both cannot hold up to this bag. I am very happy with it. HOWEVER I had a problem with the delivery. It was not delivered as promised and the next morning I found the box between the sidewalk and our porch almost in the flower bed. BUT the bag is GREAT!!!
