I'm pretty new to chickens. I've only had them for a few months, so I'm still figuring them out. I think this trough is a winner though. If I put the trough up against the side of the coop, it stays fairly clean. Don't put it away from the side though, or the handle gets gross pretty quickly.
It holds plenty of food for 6 chickens for one day. Not too hard to fill, just be a bit careful, as it's easy to spill since you need to dump the food between the bar and the edge of the trough. Get a good scoop, it makes it much easier.
The shape makes it a bit awkward to carry around, but it's worth it, since, for the most part, the good stays clean.
Definitely recommend.
