Has a lot of modes, that is a nice feature. You can connect up to four pads anywhere you like on your body. If you intend on using this for a long time or regular therapy, I recommend getting additional pads. I gave it 4 stars because the pads Iliad a proprietary pin style connector instead of regular snaps like other tens units. If you've never tried this type of therapy for muscle aches, etc, you will be glad you did.
I became familiar with this when years ago I was given a much bigger hospital grade tens unit for therapy after major back surgery. I used it for ever it seems but quit using it after a couple of years after I got better. I know the pads will wear out, you can reuse the same set for a long time if you take care of them. The pads come with a plastic sticky cover thing for you to replace after each use. Also comes with a small bag to carry your stuff around in. The tens unit is smaller and thinner than a regular cell phone and requires 3 aa or aaa batteries, can't remember which. I happen to have both types in rechargeable types so new batteries are never a problem for me. Enjoy.

This tens therapy really works. And the price is excellent for what you're getting. My husband has a severely arthritic knee that the doctors said will need to be replaced, but he's trying to get the most out of his real knee first, especially since the time off for a knee replacement and recovery isn't conducive with his work. So he started first with the icy hot machine that Shaquille O'Neal sells, to see if it had any effect on him without spending a fortune. He definitely noticed pain relief from that one, so we looked into a more expensive and intense machine and found this one for a great price. When ordering we thought you had to spend more to get more and wondered it this one would work as good as the reviews said, but thought it was worth the try. This machine delivers on it's promises. It's powerful, tiny and light weight, comes with lots of extra pads, and has many different settings for different therapies. Just make sure to read the directions where it tells what the different settings are for, therapy wise. My husband with his severely arthritic knee uses the #8 setting.

This is the second unit I have bought from I Relieve. The first one lasted over 10 years with occasional use. In the middle of of a serious bout of sciatica, my old unit gave up the ghost. The new one arrived in good time and has been a great help. It doesn't cure you but it really minimizes the pain. If I have to be on the go all day pre traveling I always put it on to use in case I need it.
