Fantastic, with a slight catch, though...

This will not move, once you fasten them to your shirt/socks. Really solid construction and easy to use. Only issue is that, if you use these, with any regularity, holes will start forming in your shirt or socks where the clips hold onto. The clips achieve their secure grasp by metal "spikes" that, essentially, make SURE that it doesn't slip. Not a deal breaker for me, but if you spend a lot on nice shirts/socks, you might want to look at something different with less of an invasive mechanism.
Best I've found so far...

Way better hold than my old ones of another brand that would come off all the time while walking, which was a pain. These never pull off and Would have got five stars had the stitching not came undone on one, it was easily remedied quickly with the sewing machine. To the person whom is ripping up their shirts, loosen them up or wear longer socks. No offense, But you are trying to keep your shirt tucked in not tightening a drum head. I found that I only had that problem when I wore them tensioned too tightly, and I wear them every day to work with no further tearing problems. Velcro is not a worry, holds well and more comfortable than the large adjusting buckles on my last sets. Other than the problem with the stitching coming loose I am very happy. If I was to improve the design I would ask that more length be given to upper "Y" section so they could be placed farther apart. I will probably buy the single ended ones, in this brand when I replace these so I can place them where I prefer further front and back.
Well made, more durable.

What got my attention is that these are made in the U.S. and in the pictures seem thicker and more durable. In past 10 years I have gone through so many cheaper ones not made in the U.S. The last pair lasted a total of 4 days before breaking. So I ordered these. Definitely well made and strong. Where the two arms that attach to the shirt meet the leg band is extra stitching and fabric. The clips do leave a small hole in some dress shirts, but are easy to clip and stay firmly attached. Also, these are easy to attach to socks, even thicker ones, unlike the loop and button style of some brands that only work with thin socks. If you prefer very thin socks or thin shirts like silk, you may want this brands other clips made for thin material. Otherwise, these are great so far and I recommend. P.S. the adjustments for length are velcrow and stay where you place them, unlike others with the metal adjustment loop that slides on its' own.
Work really well, use plastic or metal depending on shirt fabric

I bought these and the plastic ones from the same company.
I wear the plastic ones if I need to go to the airport, or if the shirt fabric is thin and might rip. The metal ones are excellent for normal-weight poplin and oxford shirts, and are dead secure. I might even sew on a bit of interfacing to a lighter weight shirt or two, so I can use the slimmer metal clips all the time (except at the airport).
These really do the job in keeping your shirt tucked in, and your socks up!
One user note: They're not a pain when you get into the men's room and have to sit down. At least the length I wear them at (I wear boot socks all the time), I can just ignore them, hitch up my shirt, and go about my business. When I stand back up, they just slide right into place.
I love not having to check whether my shirt is ballooning out of my waistband any more!

I would recommend this product

I wear business professional attire to work, and I bought this product in hopes of creating the finishing touches to look dapper.
I was a little concerned about others stating that this product puts holes in dress shirts.
It does appear that this product creates small holes in my shirts, but after washing and time the holes seem to disappear.
On a bigger or taller person maybe the smalls holes will actually become tears, idk. (I am 5' 11" 180lb)
After about a week and a half of wear one of the clips broke off. I was bummed because the shirt-stays really do make my dress look a lot cleaner.
I contacted "HoldUp" and they sent me a new pair free of charge!
I would recommend this product, and I will likely buy other goods from them in the future.
