This works well to hold the plastic bag in place. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that when the tray if full of kitty waste, sometimes I have to touch the waste to get to the BAG-it frame, but that's mainly because the tray was pretty full. I have two cats and the tray seemed to fill up pretty quickly. Now I have "High-Capacity litter disposal system for Littermaid which works great. So I no longer need the BAG-it thing.

Excellent product. The only thing is the picture is a little misleading. From the picture, it appears that a permanent tray will come with this item, and it does not. You still need to use one of the flimsy little trays you purchase, but with the addition of the bags, it eliminates the need for changing. It is easy to install and is a great improvement, I just wish it included a more sturdy tray as the pictures make you think it does. I did not fine in the description one way or the other, but may have overlooked it myself. When the description says "Combo" it is a little misleading making you think that everything in the picture is included. So don't throw out your old trays, just the lids.

If you have a automatic littermaid litterbox then this is an absolute must have to turn it into the ideal "set it and forget it". Couldn't live without his gadget now. I actually boosted my litterbox up on a table, cut out the bottom of one of the drop in plastic receptacles, and then using the bag-it, I can travel for work for a week and not have to worry about any overflow of litter clumps. Even with 2 cats, at the end of the week I only have 1/2 full grocery sack. Huge savings, huge convenience factor; huge satisfaction. This is a must have. Don't think twice. Buy it.

I didn't buy this for the bag function. I bough this item for the laser plastic top in order for it to seal the top part of the littermaid completely so no odors could escape out of the top two holes. This works better than recharging the charcoal filters and has drastically reduced odors from the entire unit since it nearly gets a perfect seal.
As for the bottom part of the bag insert, it is kind of flimsy, so star removed. If I had been buying it for the bag insert, I think I would have been very disappointed (however for my purposes it works well.)

The Bag-It needs to be about a half inch wider and it would be perfect for my LitterMaid box. The Perma-Lid is perfect. As it is, the Bag-It leaves a small gap at the front of the tray and litter falls down through it.
