This is a review of the Panasonic BK-3HCCA8BA Eneloop Pro AA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries.

Summary "“ Simple item and love this brand. I only use Eneloop now. Figured I would give this type a try as I was using the Eneloop XX batteries and found these to be slightly cheaper and yet offer a slightly higher mAh.

The reason I have stuck with this brand and these is because they are solid performers unlike others I have used. (Tried off brands, some Sony even Duracell.) When it comes to batteries, you get what you pay for it seems. These do in fact have a nice high capacity - output and work great in our electronic devices.

Some of the devices these are ideal for are wireless microphones, xbox controllers, cameras, camera flashes, flash lights and of course those children's toys which seem to go through batteries fast.

Note "“ If you use an external DSLR camera flash, I have found these to be the best high capacity rechargeable battery; however, lithium is the best as they last longer and are lighter.

Here is something to consider.

Duracell AA batteries are advertised to deliver up to 2348mAh.
Energizer AA batteries are advertised to deliver up to 2850mAh.
Cheaper common batteries like Rayovac are advertised to deliver up to 2100mAh.
Typical AA rechargeable batteries seem to range from 500mAh to 2000mAh. (Amazon Basics AA are rated to 2,000 mAh.)

So far in the past 5 years I have not yet found a bad battery or have one die. So I do feel they live up to the 500 recharge rate so far.

Would certainly recommend.

Been using the white ones for years. I'm a professional photographer so I go throgh many batteries. When this black ones came along promising more power, I had to get it. I use it on my on-camera flash. Holds its charge. One little thing... I was using it on my radio flash trigger and I notice some misfires. I think it has to do with slightly lower voltage on these rechargeables. Not a fault of this product, but for voltage finicky electronics, may not work optimally.

Love that it comes charged for immediate use. I haven't compared scientifically or anything, but I feel like these powered my LED lamp better than my (admittedly old) normal eneloops. By that, I mean that the LED lamp felt brighter. Towards the end of a battery charge, the lamp that I'm using as reference is noticeably dimmer than when the batteries were at full charge.

Ever since I started using Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries I do not use any other brands either for my camera flashes or for various gadgets around the house. Their longevity is commendable. Bit over-priced, though.
