I bought two of these: one for the home (front door has a single deadbolt lock) and one for travel (i.e. Hotel room, etc.). Very well made and easy to use. The way it is designed, it can be adapted to virtually any door. Also very easy to remove from the inside in case you have to leave in an emergency (like a fire, etc.).

Love this! It's strong/sturdy! I use it to keep doors closed when I travel and to hold the door open when using my over the door ironing board at home. I unscrew it but that isn't necessary, there is an emergency removal which is great. I slightly damaged the door (no one will ever notice) by using the emergency removal of lifting and pulling when I was too lazy to unscrew it. I am truly happy with this purchase!

I purchased this for my daughter so she would feel safer at college. It didn't fit under her door, so I took it home hoping I could utilize it at either my front door or the door to the garage. It didn't fit those either! The front door is too tight on the bottom and the door to the garage has molding under it. No matter how tall I tried to make the arm, it wasn't high enough to work.

I like to take power naps in my office and do not like to be disturbed during that time. This prevents the secretary or security people who have the master key to my office to just unlock the door and walk in while I'm napping. It works great. I have tested it with friends who tried to get in.

I got this since I was going to travel to Central America since this would give me an additional peace of mind. I scoured the internet to find something that was not one of those ramp looking things that set off an alarm when triggered by an open door. I wanted something that can physically stop the door rather than just make a big noise.
I stayed at a couple of hotels and a friend's house and attempted to use this product. But seem to always run into functionality problems using this.
The first hotel I went to, the DoorJammer is not flush with the door. It seems to me that the top part of the DoorJammer is pressed against the door while the bottom 90 degree angled part has half an inch of space between it and the door. And when tightening the screwing part, it would not hold. I tried both with and without the rubber part.
The second hotel I went to, I had a similar problem as I did with the first hotel.
When I went to my friend's house, it seem to go flush with the door, HOWEVER, the hand twisting part that allows you to screw the height of the DoorJammer's foot is proving difficult to twist since there is not enough clearance between the contact part and the twisting knob.
Finally, out of curiosity when I arrived home, I tried it on my bathroom door. This door had about an inch of clearance between the door and the tile floor. This thing finally seem to work as intended. But it seems to me that the rubber part does not have enough traction to hold the door much from opening. The tiles were not slippery or wet. If your life depended on this, you would probably not be alive.
This product does seem to do a good job as a paper weight (thus the 2 stars). This product weights 0.535 pounds with the rubber part and 0.511 pounds without the rubber part. Just info you might want to know if you are putting this in your checked bag.
