Great tester for bugging out your data or video cables

For the price, this unit pays for itself in it's 1st use. The contractor did not wire the new house correctly. This unit detected exactly what was incorrect in the punch of the conductors or where connectors were not terminated. Saved me hours of aggravation.
Tests in under a second, other testers do not, Audible confirmation

Tests cables in less that 1 second. Most other cable testers take up to 15 seconds to perform a test. Also there is a audible alert to indicate success or failure of the test. Tell if there is a fault but not on which specific pair. The 9V battery has to be in good condition other wise the tester gives false readings. Works well good price!

Works exactly as described. Great for simply checking whether an RJ-45/11 line (Ethernet or phone, respecitvely), a USB cable, or a BNC (old data line) is correctly configured or needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Just slap some batteries in, connect each end of the cable, and press the button; even amateurs can use it without getting confused!
The plastic feels a bit cheap, and the zipper case is cheap pleather, but the unit doesn't break too easily, so for the price that's passable.

Best network tester I've had among others. It's great because it tests more than one type of cable, but also is useful in telling exactly what type of ethernet cable is configured.
