This is an outstanding kit! It is as good as, if not better than, anything I have seen from Tamiya or Hasegawa. Specifically, on a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being best, here's how I rate it:

Fit: 10
Detail: 10 (finely engraved panel lines, multi-part wheel wells, exquisite cockpit detail, all the tiny exterior detail bits, and pilot is included)
Lack of Flash: 10 (none)
Instructions: 9 (I really appreciate that the technical name of every part is given and that the paint directions are very detailed)
Decal Quantity: 10 (huge decal sheet with every single, tiny stencil included, as well as options for two colorful aircraft)
Decal Quality: 10 (registration is perfect)
Price: 10 (I got mine at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $11, but it's worth at least $40 - 60 relative to other high-quality 1/48 scale models)

This is by far and away the best Revell kit I have ever built; I cannot recommend it more highly! The craftsmanship is top-notch. Thanks to Revell for a really great product.

One of the better kits. Engraved panel lines and everything went together very well. Decals needed extra solvent but eventually ended up looking very nice. I enjoyed building this plane and think it is show worthy. Shall be hauling it off to a contest soon.

SUPER KIT....many compliments on my "SABER DOG"

Not for someone who does not have a world of tolerance Revell has made this kit so detailed that many of the parts are almost impossible, and when installed add nothing to the final result. If you enjoy handling 1/16 inch pieces with tweezers, and trying to glue them in place, this model is for you. The parts are accurate, well made and the instructions very good, bit you better have two hands steady as a rock, and eyes like an eagle to find 1/8 inch parts that hop out of your tweezers. This model has aspects of very good and very bad.. .
