Great, versatile tool for practice and warm-ups
Bill Ding•January 16, 2018
I help coach my son's travel ball team as well as his rec team. This net comes in extremely handy for so many uses. When I'm working with him one-on-one fielding practice, this net is my 1st or 2nd baseman. For batting, it's my tee net and soft toss net. I even use it to use as a wall when throwing live pitching to him from a shorter distance for BP. It is at every practice being utilized the entire time. So easy to set up and break down. The ground stakes could probably be a little beefier, but nothing a couple larger stakes from the local hardware couldn't fix.
Well designed, high quality, and easy to set up

A truly excellent product. I purchased the PowerNet after a terrible experience with an Easton "quick set up" net that was terrible. The PowerNet is great because it's fast and easy to assemble so my son and I can even make time to play after school on short winter days in the offseason, before losing daylight. We use it for hitting off the tee, as well as fielding drills where we pretend it's the cut-off man or position base player.
We've set up and disassembled the net about 50 times so far and it shows no signs of wear whatsoever. The rods still connect tightly, the net seams are intact, and the base is tight fitting and true to form.
The legs are durable and keep the net steady. It came with stakes, but my son is a small 13 year old, so he's able to take swings from the tee into the net without staking it down. If and when the time comes that we need to stake it, we'll purchase better stakes, as the ones that are included are pretty flimsy. That's literally my only complaint, and a small one at that.
The carrying case is convenient and large enough that it can hold a few extra items, like the top portion of the batting tee, a rubber mallot for the stakes, and an extra bat.
Overall, I enthusiastically recommend the PowerNet practice net. It has been a great addition to our practice regimen.

This net was designed for batting practice, but I use it for so much more than that. My daughter is a catcher so when I have practice with her we use it for throw downs at second base. The opening is perfect size and would mimic the accuracy needed to throw to that position. I use it as a back stop when I pitch to my daughter for practice. And we use it for soft toss. It does wobble a bit on dirt, but hasn't fallen over yet. I'm sure it would work well on grass with the included stakes, but the stakes are not strong enough to drive them in on a field. Overall, I am pleased with this and have used it a fair amount since we purchased it. Easy to set up and take down. I will update on how well it holds up when some time has passed and how frequently we use it. Overall, a great net at a great price.
Great practice tool, but one of the poles cracked on the bottom after using it for only one session.

Finally had a chance to put it together (pretty easy and quick) and used it along with my 7 year old. We used a tee and baseballs and it was a great practice session.
Unfortunately, after taking it apart, I noticed the bottom end of the top upper right pole that connects to the bottom pole had a half inch length crack already. So durability is questionable after only one session.
Not sure if related to the crack, but I felt some slight temporary pain in my hand between the index and thumb when handling the pole while sliding the pole out of the net siding (may be related to someone's comment on fiberglass shards). I'll see if I can use some athletic tape to wrap above the crack so it won't get worse the next time I use it. Would be great if the seller can send me a free replacement =-).

NET AND STAND ARE FANTASTIC!

Bought this for my son and daughter to be able to practice at home for baseball and softball. My son is younger and can move it around easily by himself to practice whenever he wants. Set up was easy. We do need to put something a little heavy on the legs in front because occasionally it will tip over if it gets a ball hit REALLY hard in the right spot but that's not a big deal to us. It's only used in the yard or garage so a case of beer/soda or anything heavy laying around will work perfectly. The price was perfect and although I've never used the more expensive name brand of this kind of net, I think this is a PERFECT alternative to spending all that extra money. Thanks PowerNet!!! A++++
