Let's say 4.5 stars, I really like it, I get compliments on it, Iuse it a lot, I love that it's versitle by having the option to add ice, it fits more items than I assumed. I only have 2 small complaints, 1. it takes awhile to get cold/hot I would estimate (just a guess) 35min to get cold or hot, so that means if I turn it on by the time I get to the store or restaurant it is still warming or cooling and not yet ready. Now I will say my car turns off all electronics when the car is off, so if your car plugs stay turned on even when your car is not, then you may have more luck with it cooling/heating before you need it. My recommendation is to buy the wall AC to DC adapter so you can pre chill or heat the cooler before you need it. Also when you show up to a party you can just plug it in at the party otherwise it will slowly warm up when it is unplugged. 4th of July I cooled the case down then showed up to an outdoor pool party where it was 100 degrees out, after a couple hours the drinks inside were warming up so I dumped ice in it, which was not a problem, but if I had the adapter I couple have simply plugged it into the wall and not deal with ice. 2: the lid is hard to open, especially with one hand. Every now and then while trying to open the lid, the entire lid disconnects and falls off, this may be a way they insulate better, I've seen this design on some small fireproof safes.. but I'm not a fan of the lid.

Works great with the mains adaptor that has to be bought separately. I was pleasantly surprised how cool it keeps the contents. The instructions say you should unplug it before starting the car. That is not practical when its in the rear of an SUV, and especially as mine has a engine stop start system. Luckily it works just fine.

I downsized from the Coleman 40-Quart PowerChill Thermoelectric Cooler to this smaller Wagan 24L cooler. The Coleman worked OK but it was just too big, I didn't need all that cooler storage and it consumed too much space in my pickup truck. The Wagan keeps food cold and fresh. The Wagan's smaller size and carrying handle makes it easy to transport. I put ice cubes in the Wagan and the ice was still there 3 days later.

Works great. I use it once a week for when I drive to Idaho from Washington state. It keeps stuff extremely cold and has frozen my yogurt once.

The reason it gets a 4 star review instead of a 5 stars is the design of the cord. It's not detachable and the storage space for it very light and the locking mechanism broke off in under a week. So when I carry it out to the car I have to be careful sure that I'm not dragging the cord.

The latch is one where you push the door down and it locks and if you push again it releases.

I purchased this for long road trips in my truck. I used it on a 9 hour road trip to Florida and it worked very well. I recommend that you alreayd have cool the cool items you want to put into it as it is much more efficient that way. On the flip side, if you are using it to store warm items, make sure they are already warm.
