Worked well for one TV, but not another

Worked well with my newer, Samsung TVs. Would not work with my older Phillips because the sound output cannot be changed from Dolby to PCM, even though it does have a digital sound output via coaxial. Wish I had known that beforehand. Now I have an extra with no use for it.

it does the job but it wasnt as easy as I expected. I have to adjust my tvs sound options so this unit can understand the data. I dont think it would do dolby. If you are not atleast basically tech literate this may not work for you

I had been struggling in recent months to fix the mediocre audio on my new Roku smart TV. My purchase of the Easyday toslink converter was exactly what I needed to move from mediocre to excellent surround sound quality. I never heard of toslink as a digital to analog option, but my research was a major success in addtressing this challenge. It works very well in getting the audio from my Roku TB to my five speaker Panasonic stereo system, which is about 12 years old. I also was able to successfully pair my Comcast/Xfinity remote to be able to turn both the Roku TV and Panasonic stereo system at the Aux 2 setting on and off using just the one Xfinity remote with the same click.

Worked like a champ. This hardware kept a friend from having to discard their older surround sound system when upgrading to a new TV, as the sound system didn't have optical input. The device is light-weight, allowing it to be mounted to the back of the TV with command strips. Fortunately, the new TV had 5V USB, and the included wall adapter was not required. Made for a super tidy installation.

Works good with Samsung TV Curve 48' although it does not give amplified sound but I guess this is due to optical audio feature which I think is stupid, analog sound is much better especially if you use the right headphones. However this product is amazing and does the job.
