There was nothing wrong with this item. However, I had to send it back as my grandson decided this is not what he needed for my hook-up.

Perfect solution for a newer TV and older but very good RCA connection sound bar - the only thing that could be better would be to include the RCE cable (red & white male-to-male cable) with the set. I didn't even need to change the sound settings on my TV - just hooked everything up, plugged it in and it worked perfectly - super easy. You can experiment with having the TV speakers on in conjunction with the external speaker - sounds great with some programs, not so good with others. Would recommend and purchase again.

Worked great on my dad's TV so he can use his headphones. Initially, it didn't work, but once I switched the output to PCM, it worked great and did exactly what I wanted.

Did not work with New, 2017 Samsung 4K SUHD TV and Smart Box set up for watching Blue-Ray, movies through a Panasonic 7.1 surround Theater in any optical configuration on all sound menus on television.. Apparently it needs something additional from the positive reports.
