Amazing customer service. My old pillow was almost 2 years old (May 2016-March 2018) and it sprung a leak somewhere. I only had about 6 flights with it and I couldn't find the suspect leak. I emailed them through their website just to inquire ok their warranty policy even though I had already ordered a replacement (which has many upgrades). It didn't take but 17 minutes to get a reply from the owners. They apologized for the inconvenience and promptly gave me a refund for the new one I just ordered. How's that for customer service!?

About the pillow: It's best feature is that you can adjust the thickness because it's an air bladder. Airplane seats vary so much that I just fill it up full (blow into it with your mouth) and slowly let it out once I'm all settled in. The pillow comes with a compact bag that has a pull string. I clipped the string on my backpack for easy transportation.

I just returned from a 5 week backpacking adventure in Thailand Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. I purchased the Air Comfy for all the obvious reasons. First it was the 24-hour travel ordeal with two connections to get from NYC to Bangkok. The Comfy was just that. I was able to use it for my lumbar, as neck support while sitting and as a supportive pillow while laying down. I used it as a pillow during a night train ride to Laos; as neck support during a long bus ride to Luang Prabang; as a pillow again on a 24-hr long bus ride to Hanoi(all the seats were permanently reclined)... and it was wonderful, a great purchase.
And then, on one more bus ride in Vietnam, I stupidly exited the bus with my belongings, but forgot to unstrap the AirComfy from my seat.
So, I clearly think this is a great product, but wish I was not in such a hurry that I forgot on the bus! Someone in Vietnam will now enjoy its design quality! alan roth

I have used this for two air trips and two car trips so far and have really liked it. For some reason, my boyfriend's car seats would make my back hurt if we were driving a lot of hours, but now, I can use the pillow to cradle my neck or support my back as needed. In the car, it's nice that it can strap onto the headrest. Depending on the aircraft, this really doesn't work, at least on the newer styles of aircraft seats--especially those with screens at the back.

I like that I can arrange the level of inflation, that I can use it in different ways--either on my neck or as lumbar support--and that it is small enough to carry with me most places. I brought three different pillows with me on a recent flight to Japan. one was a traditional c-shaped neck pillow that you had to blow up. That never left the bag. The second was a Travelrest---I still love that pillow, if you are looking for something to sleep on a plane with--but that also never left my bag on this voyage. On this trip, I took out my air comfy and never bothered getting the others. I only snoozed a little bit, so I didn't feel taking my Travelrest out was worth it and this was small enough that I wasn't being obnoxious...that can be a negative with that other one!

This is not an inflatable pillow that you will have to huff and puff to inflate--it has a layer of cushion in it (foam?) but is also self-inflating (much like a Thermarest sleeping pad if you are familiar with those). It comes with a storage bag with a clip. My clip was defective, but the manufacturer was really responsive in taking care of that issue. I also purchased the air comfy pillowcase to keep my pillow clean since I travel a lot. I bet I could even use this to sleep with in a camping situation, though I haven't tried. It will be coming with me on my next trip too!

Update (June 2017): I received the second one to replace the leaking first one bought. Now, the second one holds air for a matter of minutes before going flat and I have used it only for one trip. Something is seriously wrong with the design and quality control with this product. Product support and responsiveness is very good. Unfortunately, for me, this doesn't work.

Original review: This support pillow is much better than the ones you can buy in airports or Brookstone. I have used it for air travel and car travel and also for the occasional nap on the road. It is good quality and works as advertised. I have probably used this 6-7 times in total. My only issue is that the pillow seems to have a slow leak. This means that every hour or so, I have to take it up and fill it with air again which is kind of annoying. I would have given it 5 stars if it did not leak. (Note: I have followed all instructions with this and air valve is tightly closed after each fill.

Follow-up (3/3/2016): I liked this pillow from Day One. But, as noted, it developed a small leak at about the 11-month mark. I contacted the owners, and they responded immediately with an offer to replace the pillow with a newer version. I was traveling for several months and asked if they could send it once I had returned. A few days after I arrived home, the replacement pillow arrived like clockwork. It looks to be of excellent quality and I can't wait to try it. I highly recommend this company for product design, quality and superior customer support.

After recovering from an SI joint issue I've had for the past several months, I wanted to find a good travel pillow that would provide support so that my upcoming 13-hour flight to Taiwan would pass with minimal pain. After receiving this pillow in the mail, I was not disappointed. As other reviews indicate, this pillow provides support in all of the right places and is incredibly easy to inflate (either using self-inflating valve or by blowing into the valve with one or two breaths), deflate, and store (simply re-open the valve and push the air out as you roll it up to deflate and roll up for storage in convenient carrying bag). I haven't yet used it on a plane, but after using it on my couch and kitchen chairs I can already tell that this will be a tremendous improvement from the inflatable neck pillow I used on my last flight, which was scratchy and felt like it was choking me.

This pillow supports the neck without tilting my head forward or forcing me to sit with poor posture in my chair, supports my shoulders and the sides of my head, and can also be used as lumbar support when my back is feeling uncomfortable. The minimal discomfort of the scratchy edges of the pillow can be easily avoided by simply adjusting the pillow/my head a bit, and the valve makes it easy to inflate the pillow more or less depending on one's preference. Very happy with my purchase, and happy that I can use the attached hook to clip it onto my suitcase for travel to save space and provide easy access mid-flight. 10 out of 10 would buy again.
