Best Starter Rope Out There
Steven Tammen✓ Verified Purchase•August 7, 2023
Let me just start off by saying that you won't get a better jump rope for under $10 than this (it's on sale right now I suppose, but even at $15, it's a fair price). I've owned and used a fair number of cheap jump-ropes since I started skipping, and this is really the only one I wouldn't feel guilty recommending to my inexperienced friends. While there are similar products in the price range that "aren't bad", normally you hit a point where you can no longer grow with the rope and you need an upgrade. Not so with this one.
Here's a brief rundown of the pros:
1) The handles use ball-bearings and the rotation is as smooth as most pricier ropes. This is a big deal since cheap ropes typically have shoddy mechanisms and hold you back when you start picking up speed.
2) The foam handles are comfortable. I myself prefer skinny metal sticks because I find it helps me minimize wrist motion, but these are some of the least intrusive "comfy" handles I've used, and I can say that I actually like them. They don't lose grip when your hands are sweaty, and so far as I can tell, they don't absorb sweat either (which is good from a hygiene perspective).
3) The rope actually has a good bit of weight to it. This might seem kind of odd as a "pro", but most experienced people will tell you how much easier it is to learn on a mid-weight rope. With speed ropes (the metal wire variety), it's really hard to "feel" the rope revolve around you, and most of the time it just ends up magically tangled at your feet and you don't really know what happened. Cloth ropes are bad too because their slow rotation tends to make newbies exaggerate arm motion to get them to move faster (i.e., they encourage bad form). This rope, on the other hand, encourages good form. The weight means you will get tired out if you try to use your arms too much (instead of your wrists how you're supposed to), and I subjectively find the weight helpful in tracking the position of the rope as it travels around my body: I think it makes timing jumps easier when you're first starting out. Note that this second one is a bit subjective, but I'm not the first person to have this opinion. Other quality weighted ropes are significantly more expensive than this price point.
Cons:
1) Probably my biggest gripe with this rope, as has already been mentioned ad infinitum in previous reviews, is the lack of directions in adjusting the length. I'm 6'5'' so it doesn't affect me personally (I need it all the way out to have enough length for comfortable skipping, unless I want it tighter for double-unders), and honestly it's pretty intuitive once you figure it out, but there really should be something included in the packaging that explains how to do it. I was considering dinging a star for this alone, but this really isn't a flaw in the product so much as it is a marketing oversight. I'm assuming it will get fixed eventually, but in the meantime, several others have already elaborated how you do it so I won't go into it here.
2) The other thing that annoyed me slightly was the fact that the zip tie holding the rope in the original packaging actually left some indentations on the plastic because it was pretty tight. Functionally, this doesn't matter at all, but after a few days they still haven't faded. Worth pointing out, but not a deal-breaker.
Overall, I think this rope is the best thing out there for beginners. For experienced skippers, it makes a good travel rope that you don't feel bad tearing up on concrete because it's ten bucks and replaceable (this is my use case). And for anyone else in between, it's still worth picking up as a quality piece of equipment that won't lead you astray. Overall, a very solid product, and I recommend it pretty much unconditionally.
DISCLAIMER: I was provided this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased feedback. Take that as you will.

I wish I could give 4 and a half stars. Really only lacking that last star because there aren't instructions with this jumprope that tell or show how to adjust the length to fit your height. It's not rocket science but a simple sheet could have saved a headache lol. Other than that, the product itself is pretty awesome The handles feel really good in my hands, once adjusted this has been the best rope I've used besides the speed rope also by Epitomie Fitness. I forgot how hard really jumping rope is, I was winded after 15 minutes and I thought I was in shape! Going to have to seriously add to my routine now! Some of the heavier ropes freak me out because I'm afraid to hit myself in the face with it, this one hasn't made me feel that way at all which is an added bonus. The rope does not tangle up at all, and I have had no issue with being misshapen or anything like that. If you want to have a smooth workout with a height customizable jump rope you won't be sorry!
Great for cardio, not the best for speed work

Overall, this product presents a strong case to replace any other jump ropes I own...I'm tired of using plastic ones that get stretched or bent out of shape and are hard to adjust for size!
Now, this product arrived well before the Amazon estimated arrival time...huge plus!
From the start, the packaging was clean, simple to open, very basic but built for the product. The jump rope was coiled nicely inside the box, but I didn't have the issue with zip ties that were reported by other customers. Therefore, mine didn't have any weird kinks in it and the rope didn't require any prep work (I thought initially, before I knew I could adjust the size).
It's definitely a well-made product, with a clean design, perfect for basic jump roping needs. I personally like to jump rope for warming up/cardio before strength workouts and this certainly fits the bill. I loved the weight of the rope and it feels great without being too heavy to swing. While I haven't used it more extensively than short intervals over about a week, it is so far very durable, and the handles provide great grip and comfort during a workout. The padded material really helps ensure they don't get too slippery while you're doing a hard session. The length is very easy to adjust and the handles store any excess rope well, so they can be interchangeable between a number of different people.
What took off from making this a five star review? First, I wish there were directions in the box, especially for adjusting the length. Luckily I read through some reviews, because I didn't think it was adjustable at all, and the rope comes extended to its full length. Once I figured it out, those adjustments were easy to make, but again, directions would have been a bonus, especially for those who wouldn't know the proper length to make their jump rope. Second, I wish the instructions for accessing the fitness videos were also included in the box. I almost didn't see the email, which then takes you to the website, which takes you to another email, to get you to the videos...why can't you sign up on the website and be redirected to the videos? The videos themselves are great, have a lot of good tips for working different techniques...but they're all demonstrated with a different jump rope which is better built for speed work. As someone just taking on double unders, this might not be the rope I use all the time.
I would definitely recommend the purchase of this jump rope for anyone looking to up their cardio with a great, durable product. However, crossfitters beware, this might not be the one when looking to do double and triple unders.

Epitomie Fitness PowerSkip Jump Rope is a Winner! Get a Body Like a Boxer@

I'd never really jumped rope before, but just before the beginning of the year (and shortly after being released to full activity following a hernia surgery), I decided to learn. Â After all, who doesn't want a body like a boxer's?
I purchased several jump ropes before I discovered the Epitomie Fitness PowerSkip Jump Rope, but it is easily my favorite go-to jump rope for many reasons. Â Number one in my book is that the cable is a weighted speed cable and heavy enough to get around (I'm still not good enough for "double unders" though). Â I also love the memory foam handles that are so comfortable and easy to hold onto. Â The PowerSkip Jump Rope comes in several colors and I have purchased them in green, blue and red.
The Epitomie Fitness PowerSkip Jump Rope comes with 10 feet of cable and can easily be adjusted for people who want a shorter rope. Â Instructions come with the package, as well as information on how to access free online training videos (well worth watching).
I've purchased more expensive jump ropes and cheaper jump ropes, but at $18.99 (currently on sale for $14.97), the Epitomie Fitness PowerSkip Jump Rope is the real deal and a great bargain. Â If you would like to purchase one to donate to our Jump Ropes for Youth program, just have it mailed to:

Awesome Jump Rope

The Shipping was quick, I liked the heft of the rope/cable and the handles were comfortable. I'm an MMA/BJJ fighter and needed a good jump rope that wouldn't tangle up in my gear bag when going to and from the gym. I've been using jump ropes since I was a teenager and this has been my favorite. It allows me to stay in rhythm and do different and complex jump maneuvers that would tangle up most rope and plastic cables. I used this jump rope to warm up in the locker room before my Pro debut, now I'm not saying the jump rope was the reason I won, but I successfully won my fight because I had a good warm up. The only con this jump rope has is cutting the cable to suit your height, because when you cut it, the metal strands are difficult to put back in the little plastic holders. I would definitely buy this jump rope again and recommend it to other MMA guys, Boxers, Wrestlers, BJJ Guys and anyone else who needs a quality jump rope without paying a crazy Price.
