We thought we had to buy a new TV because picture was so dim after only 6 years. This light made TV like new again. Bought a second one in case they are obsolete in another 6 years.
Phillips bulbs are better period

This lightbulb works great. I can see the picture again. I bought the cheap one and it was too dim. It was difficult to see the picture so I got this lightbulb and now I can see again. All of the best lightbulbs for projectors and projection TVs are made by Phillips or with their parts. They have a patent on the technology that lights the bulb and they don't share. Their bulbs last 3 times as long and are twice as bright. They are better period and worth the extra money.

I am so excited my 73' inch mitsubshi Television is back up and running i have had my T.V. since 2012 & this is the second time I had to replace the lamp. 2017 i replaced it bought from walmart unfortuanetly it did not last very long and now this time im praying and hoping this last more than a year I di notice the cilor is much brighter and looks new all over again . im a firm beleiever when you take Care of your things it will take care of you cleaning, wipe downs and a touch of love. when its all said and done once its over its over long as you know you took special care for what you paid for. Thanks a lot Amazon I'm rooting for longer than a year i will keep you updated.

Bulb is working as I needed. I was a little worried due to the packaging and the one it was basically thrown around (as evidenced by the box having deep black marks on the top and sides, hence the 4 stars!). I will report back if it doesn't at least last a couple of years....

I bought this bulb 2 years ago and loved the brighter light which made colors more vivid. Within 2 days I noticed a very annoying flicker. Especially on light color scenes such as scenes showing the sky. I returned the bulb and went with the Osram. Fast forward to now when I had to order a new bulb. I thought maybe I just had bad luck two years ago and was once again enticed by the reviews about the brighter light. Well... guess what??? This new bulb also FLICKERS!!!! How do these get sold without this issue being tested and fixed during manufacturing before they go on sale. What a shame! I can't believe there aren't more bad reviews about the MAJOR flicker issue! Back to Osram.
