Maybe I should have known what Palmyra bristles were or something, but they seem to be like wicker (wood) type bristles and break off very easily. I bought this b/c I followed a link from a page regarding cleaning a Weber smoker. I was optimistic this would be good to clean the inside but was disappointed in the results. To be fair, maybe a brush like this is more useful for other jobs, but cleaning the inside of a smoker not so much...

Just like the brushes I used to pick up at the Chinese store. These are the best for cleaning woks or cast iron pans. So much less fuss than scouring pads or spatulas. The long bristles and wooden handle keep your hand far away and well insulated from the hot pan surface so you can clean while the pan is still hot.
