Worked well (and quickly) for countertops

This stuff is awesome. I did walnut countertops during our remodel. The first piece took over a month of apply, sand, repeat (4x), and cure with tung oil. Using Monocoat on the second piece it was ready for install in 2 days and ready for use in 7. Really like the matte finish and it stands up pretty well to water, though standing water will still cause problems after 5-10 minutes. Totally worth the extra cost for the convenience of one coat, a faster finish time, and less time having work sitting in the garage curing. Plus, it smells pretty decent.

After trying many finishes over the years (oil and water poly, shellac, oils, waxes, etc) this is now my go to for surfaces which require a low sheen/matte finish. Extremely predictable color outcomes, very easy to use and efficient coverage especially for the price. I use this on all manners of furniture/wood projects; have not used it to cover floors yet as we have stone floors.

I'm super impressed with this finish so far. Used it on a few inside tables and they look great and are water proof. I also used it on an outside table. Some of the early nice color has faded but it is water proof. I'll hit it again to restore color and see if that helps prolong the beautiful color that you get with this product.
