Not the best
NewEnglandMom✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 5, 2017
These were only mediocre. I'm a big fan of gluten free stuff, not because I need gluten free, I just like a lot of it. I'm weird. Anyway these didn't have much flavor, they had a very unpleasant texture, and even the kids wouldn't eat them. They weren't the worst, and could maybe be spruced up with extra ingredients, but I wouldn't buy them again.
GET THIS!

I made my first batch of flatbread last night with this product. I am on a gluten-free diet and have tried every single solitary gluten free bread out there, plus a few mixes. I was losing hope that I would ever actually like one. My husband (who is NOT gluten sensitive, but who adores me enough to sacrifice with me) and I both LOVED this bread. It's not wheat, but is definitely the next best thing that I have found. Not only are the ingredients wholesome as opposed to so much of the processed gluten free products on the market these days full of corn starch or other equally obnoxious fillers - who wants to eat a cup of cornstarch! Just because it's gluten free doesn't make it healthy. Anyway, this was ridiculously easy...dump all the ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry in a bowl and spread it out on a cookie sheet for the flatbread style and bake 20 minutes. Seriously! What other bread could you have in that length of time - no kneading, no rising, no waiting. We had our first organic brandywine tomato from our garden as a sandwich last night and I was fully satisfied that I had had a real sandwich. I just ordered 4 more boxes. I highly recommend this company's product. I also love their gf saltines.
Convenient and healthy

We've been Paleo for over 3 years and the hardest part is having to make everything from scratch. These mixes are made with almond flour, and a very few other ingredients, and convenient to make. I melt coconut oil vs. vegetable oil for the add-in. Home-made is still better, but at the price point, these are a very good option when you want something quick and easy.
Good for Gluten/Grain Sensitivity

I buy this bread mix for my family, since 3 of us are gluten and grain sensitive. We have not experienced any allergic reaction to this bread. We do refrigerate the loaf to keep it fresh, so it can get a little dry, but we heat up our slice (add a little bit of butter) and it softens up. It can't really be compared to traditional wheat/white bread as far as texture and taste, but all in all, it is a good substitute when you have gluten sensitivities like my family. I think it's a matter of becoming accustomed to a different texture and taste that almond flour gives to bread. We enjoy it and therefore will keep buying it again and again. :)
Just adore this simple dough!

I absolutely love this product. There are just a few ingredients and a few simple steps to throw together. I've been making them for months now and the only thing that I do differently from the package directions is preheat my oven to 400, cook the dough for a good 8-10 minutes or so on a thin cookie sheet (I actually don't like how it turns out on my pizza stone, super mushy!) before putting sauce and toppings, then cook for another 10 minutes or so until brown and crispy around the edges. That way, you can actually slice it and pick it up like actual pizza (very exciting for someone who hasn't had pizza in years!). Thank you Simple Mills for such a great dough. When will you finally start selling this on Thrive?!
