Female Review

Ok so here it goes. I've heard so many awesome things about these razors. I bought them for the obvious reasons, eco friendly, less expensive. But what I'm oddly most surprised about is how close the shave is. Now if you are a female, or a male that likes to shave other places let me tell you a few things.
1. Be VERY aware that safety razors are double sided, if you are shaving in the nether regions and aren't being careful you will cut yourself.
2. The angle is very important, it doesn't pivot so it takes some getting used to
3. GO SLOW. Treat it like a Sweeny Todd blade. If you don't want to be bleeding candy goo, then go slow. These aren't meant for last minute rushing to get out the door but I'm wearing shorts so gotta shave. If you rush it you WILL cut yourself.
Keeping those things in mind it's just a matter of getting used to. I will absolutely NEVER go back to disposable razors. I have zero "shadow" after I shaved my bikini line and it's the smoothest I've ever gotten it. Do yourself a favor and switch over.

You’ll never need to buy another crap razor again

A-MAZING razor. I'm German and Irish and have super thick dark hair on super pale legs I have to shave daily- at least. One use of this razor and I haven't need to shave in 24 hours and I can tell it will be at least another day before I'd need to but probably more like 72 hours before I need to.
I have super pale, thin and sensitive skin so I'm always getting razor burn but with this razor not at all and I didn't even use lotion after. I am telling you this is the best razor you could buy. I'm so impressed! A little about the product; it's heavy and has nice long handle, it has a nice textured base and doesn't slip in your hand. You definitely have to adjust how you shave, with disposable razors its a hard drag and pull with this it's very delicate, don't rush or you will cut yourself. This is also great for the environment. No plastic and the razor blades last forever. I could not recommend this more!!

My new daily razor !

This is my new every day razor. I really like its length and 74 g (that's what mine weighs even if spec says 72g).
The finish looks better than the other plain chrome razors. Great feel as I use it.
I really like that the head is flatter than my other razors (see second picture), makes it easier to shave my head in the shower.
I like the opening knob being at the bottom of the handle. The knob stays firmly closed while I shave so no problem there.
My only negatives are:
there's still a very small rattle even when the butterfly is fully & tightly closed. Nothing moves in my other razors.
The head components are thinner than others and look a bit more fragile if I'd drop the razor than the other ones. But I will see if it survive and I will update if it breaks in the next few years.

Happy with this razor after 2.5 years

I'm a one-or-twice-a-week shaver. Partly because I'm lazy and partly because my wife likes me to have some stubble going. A safety razor is much better for that kind of shaving than a disposable, which will clog up after two drags across your face. The Weishi is an excellent safety razor with a nice heft and a long handle.
I've had my Weishi razor for about two and a half years and it's still going strong. The finish doesn't look like it did brand new out of the box, but that doesn't bother me.
The five sample blades it came with were fine, but I mainly use Astra and Shark blades. When I'm in the mood for a proper shave, I use a brush and shaving cream. If I'm in a hurry, I use some shave gel from a can that refuses to run out. If I'm just doing a quick once-over, I splash some warm water on my face and run the blade over it carefully. The razor works fine for all those different ways of shaving. Note: you do need to be a little more careful using a safety razor than with a disposable--especially around your adam's apple and under your nose. But it's worth taking an extra couple of minutes for a much closer shave.
Other products I use in conjunction with this blade: Shark razor blades, Astra blades, Perfecto brush, Taylor of Old Bond Street - Eaton & Sandalwood shaving creams, Osma alum block, Captain's Choice Sandalwood Shave balm, Nivea post-shave balm, warm water & cold water.

A great option for anyone considering a switch to a safety razor

A few months ago I decided to try switching from disposable razor cartridges to a safety razor, not only for cost purposes but also because I didn't like throwing all that plastic away. Based on decent reviews I ordered this Weishi unit and it's been great. As many reviewers have noted it took me a few shaves to get to the point where I was getting a close shave without nicks, but as I got better I grew to prefer this to the cartridges. Not only do I get a good shave at a lower price, but somehow my skin actually feels better - maybe it's the smooth metal of this unit instead of plastic, or the blade itself, but whatever it is it feels good. I follow every shave with a good after-shave lotion (I highly recommend Cade from L'Occitane - pricey but excellent). Be aware that in the beginning I nicked myself a few times because I didn't have the butterfly doors closed all the way, newbie error, easily remedied.
