This is a good product. They aren't the best beans I've had but and if you use vanilla beans often you know just how expensive they are. They are moderately sized beans, not the fattest or best quality ones I've had but the size and quality are adequate. I normally use two beans in my anginetti cookies recipe of the Nielsen Massey, I used two and a half of the beans in the same recipe since they are slightly smaller, yet the vanilla taste these beans offered is quite inferior. Even though I used more, the vanilla taste was weaker. It is still decent though. Next time I will try using more, which is fine since these beans are priced so well. It's honestly a steal, I'm bewildered how they can even sell them this cheap without losing money. I'm grateful though.
All in all, I will continue using these and for the price you absolutely cannot beat it

I bake a lot and I am very particular about the quality of ingredients. I was really pleased with the quality of the Vanilla beans. They had the right amount of oils/ moisture and were very aromatic. In comparison to other Vanilla beans I have shopped for I would definitely rate these 10/10. I have shopped other vendors and either I received Vanilla beans close to molding or they were too dry or not aromatic. I scraped out the core and placed these Vanilla beans in Sugar and within 30min my Sugar took on the aromas whereas other beans it took almost 3 weeks to achieve that.

I confess, I am 57 years old and have never bought a vanilla bean in my life! These were a good price on Prime day, so I grabbed them, to finally make vanilla extract. I expected them to be an explosion of the sweet, vanilla-y notes I get from a bottle of extract, but this had a subdued vanilla scent, along with another scent I can't quiet place.
I don't know how they are really "supposed" to smell. But, they were packaged in a super airtight bag, and seemed flexible and not dried out of anything.
I went ahead and used them, and threw one bean into a jar of sugar, so, we will see!
*Update* 2 weeks later:
I put these in jars with vodka, to make vanilla extract, and the scent from the jars after only a this short time is intoxicating! Beautiful vanilla scent! I can already smell how this extract will taste! And the vanilla sugar is smelling divine as well! I am making this a 5-star review!

Hi, I liked the size of the vanilla beans, it was packaged to keep light out, and they were moist. The smell and taste was very good. I used them to make my own Vanilla Extract. I would recommend this product to others.

I was hesitant to buy these online. However, the reviews for this brand were stellar and now I know why! I could smell the beans through the sealed package! Such a warm and delicious aroma! I could only imagine how they would be in desserts and I was NOT disappointed! I will most definitely be buying these again and recommending to all of my baking buddies!
