Works perfectly and is very powerful

I just purchased my house and along with it came a completely let go lawn. The bermuda grass had covered the sidewalk over 1 foot in some places. I pretty much ruined the first blade getting the first edge around my whole yard but that was due to the fact my hard had never been edged before. This bad boy had plenty of power but it did take a little while on the first go around. Now edging is a piece of cake. I also purchased a 100' extension cord from amazon and had no problems getting it to fit the plug as other reviewers said they had. Buy this bad boy, its a great deal!
TIP: When your done with an edge, make sure you let the blade stop spinning before you let go of the handle on the sidewalk. I chipped my sidewalk in many places because I kept forgetting that the blade was spinning.

Perfect cut.

This is my 8th or 10th try to get an edger able to do my property, and it had given me the best result so far. Forget line trimmers, all crap. Forget Stihl trimmers, the lines get blocked every 5 minutes forever... Forget black and decker, it gave me a good result, but imploded after one season. This one is doing a superb job at edging my lawn, i am getting a professional result, with very little effort. Now if it could last 4-5 years, it would be the perfect tool...
It's all well and good if you need that cord for some unrelated purpose

What ever you do, do NOT buy the 100' extension cord that pops up as "Customers also bought". It's all well and good if you need that cord for some unrelated purpose, but it does not work with this machine. The edger does not have a ground, so you need a 2 pronged extension cord. A 3 pronged one will not fit in the hard plastic circular guard around the plug.
And it probably works fine if you have an already tidy edge, but creating that first edge is a real chore. It will not go through built up dirt or thicker grass like tall fescue. You are better off using a sharp spade shovel that first time, then just keeping up every few weeks with this little cupcake.

Nice Change From Gas Powered

Over the years I have owned several gas powered edgers and have struggled keeping them running and dealing with the oil, gas and plugs. So, it was time to order another one and none of the gas powered edgers had favorable reviews for me to drop $300 plus dollars. I saw the Worx and thought I would give it a try.
What a nice surprise. The Worx has plenty of power. Cuts a really nice edge and is a lot quieter. There are a couple of cons, there is the cord and unlike the gas powers alternative I wouldnt edge in a wet environment. I'm 6"2" and have to bend over a little to edge and it's a little uncomfortable. Other than that I love it and if I get a couple of years out of the edger I will be ahead!

"It Just Plain WORX"

WORX hit a home run with this unit! I did my research, looked at the few units that are available in this category, and settled on the WORX...I'm very happy that I did! this unit has a height adjustable pole, (I'm 6' tall and had no issues finding a comfortable setting) depth adjustment for the cut, a powerful motor that just keeps cutting, and doesn't shred the grass in the process In fact, it leaves a nice clean edge after the cut. It made short work of my overgrown lawn edging, and it stayed that way for a couple of months after! I've had 2 competitor products in the past that either quit after the first use or left a jagged, shredded cut in their wake. If you're looking for a quality unit that leaves a nice clean, manicured edge on your lawn, look no further...WORX just plain WORKS!
