Why did I not buy this sooner?

Let me tell you guys something: this mattress is like sleeping on CLOUDS.

If that alone doesn't convince you to switch, I will continue. My old mattress was inherited from my in-laws and it was already 10 years old by the time we owned it, so needless to say, it was busted and very lumpy. It was a joke. My husband and I had massive back pain and sleeping through the night was an impossible chore. We made sure that when we had extra money to spend, we would get a new mattress. Thankfully, that day came recently and we put it toward this mattress after scouring and comparing.

After only one night of sleeping on this mattress, my back still hurts from the years of sleeping on the old one, but I feel more well-rested. I just sunk into the sweet, sweet cushion, falling asleep almost immediately.

It DOES take a long time to deflate. My mattress took the suggested 72 hours since where I live, it is chilly now and I do not have a space heater to help it alone. However, it was worth every bit.

If you can afford the upgrade, do it. Most importantly, make the switch to this one.
It's perfect!

I was really nervous buying this matress because the price was so cheap and some of the bad reviews. I went around to matress stores and tried everything. I liked some but they were all over a thousand dollars. I finally gave in and decided to take a chance with this one...and I'm so glad I did!
It's so comfortable and forms to my body well! As I'm writing this I'm laying in it because I don't want to get up lol, my friend who was sceptical the whole time the bed was shipping was impressed with it too and decided she will buy one once her old matress gives out. I love this matress, thank you!
Comparing Zinus to Casper, Leesa, etc.
Mattress GuyAugust 16, 2017
Hi guys! I'm not typically a review writer, but I felt compelled to write this one because I personally had a lot of confusion over which foam mattress to buy. All the mattresses on amazon look decent, so it just made things that much more confusing. I was considering between another of options, Zinus seemed like a good price, but I couldn't find it anywhere else except Amazon, so that made me want to do a little more research. I found that there are several super popular brands: Casper, Leesa, purple, Etc"¦. all of which have their pros and cons. You really must do a lot of research in-order to find out what would be suited for you.

One thing you might be worried about is the firmness of a mattress "“ are you a side sleeper, or a back sleeper (or a stomach sleeper) etc. That really matters. I've found a lot of these mattresses vary in density and firmness, and you won't find out until you buy one (and once you buy it, you're going to have a hell of a time returning it, or getting a refund!). Its infinitely better to know before you buy. There are some good mattress review sites out there, like "mattress grader" (you can just type it in or search it, I don't tink I can put full URLs in here). The site compares a number of different mattresses so you can see what features are included, what firmness, what materials, etc. I really found it beneficial in my mattress hunt!

Anyway, lets discuss this particular mattress a bit. I really like that it's CertiPur certified. If you check out some similar mattresses, you'll notice that only a few of them actually are. For example, the very expensive Tempurpedic mattress, which you'd think would be, absolutely isn't. I've actually had personal experiences with that mattress, and must tell you the smell of chemicals is overwhelming. The Zinus is CertiPur certified, meaning it won't use foams that don't meet a certain quality standard.

The mattress itself comes in a large coardboard box, it's very heavy but a lot more convenient than trying to get an unrolled mattress up a few flights of stairs. It's also vacuum sealed so it unrolls and then slowly inflates over the course of a day or so.

The one issue I had with this particular mattress is I found it pretty difficult to clean. There are other similar mattresses that come with a removable and washable cover, I didn't think that was really important until my cat peed on our bed. Without having a removable cover, you're forced using towels trying to clean it. Other than that, perhaps you might find it a bit soft (or hard!) depending upon your sleeping preference, I think you should really check out mattress grader to compare features, I'm sure that extra bit of research will help tremendously!

I hope this review was of some use to you, best of luck on purchasing the mattress of your dreams!
Disappointed.. my mattress arrived with a stain

Disappointed..my mattress arrived with a stain. Edit: Good luck getting a hold of anyone if you have any issues. I've tried several times and it just disconnects you after you sit on hold so long. Feeling very let down by this company and regret this purchase. I should have gone with Dreamfoam Bedding like I did last time. Their customer service is much better, I was just trying to save money this time.
Unable to return...

I received my mattress without incident, but after giving it two weeks I decided it is way too soft for me (I feel like my head and feet and elevated and the rest of me is in a "u" shape). I have been trying to return the mattress every day since then, calling and leaving messages with the company (I wanted to see if they had another firmer option for me) and emailing them directly. They haven't responded to any of my messages and emails and the deadline to return the product is quickly approaching. Beware that if you buy this product you may be stuck with it.
