Healthy Ponds 52500 Stock Tank Water Cleaner 250 - Reloadable Dispenser with 2 30-Day Refills; Treats up to 250 Gallons for 60 Days
I have two identical 75-gallon metal horse stock tanks that I pressure washed clean in advance of using this product in one of the tanks. We are located in northern Arizona with temperatures ranging from the 60s overnight to the 80s and occasional low 90s during the day.
I did notice in the verbiage that comes with this product they don't expect changeover in the tank water. Or if you do keep using (re-filling) you will need to add more of their product. One must wonder why they have labeled it "Stock Tank Water Cleaner?" Do they really expect us to put their product in our stock tanks and then CLOSE THEM OFF TO OUR ANIMALS so that we don't have to add water thus creating a problem for their product?
I say no. They are selling a product, that by their own definition, cannot work.
The pictures I have included tell the story. I only used the product in one tank and three of the pictures feature it. The other was my control tank which contained nothing. The horses had equal access to both. Towards the end of the week, they favored the clean tank. You will notice my skimmer in the dirty tank to show lack of clarity.
I returned my product for a full refund.

Helps Keep Stock Tank Water Clear

I have been using these for years. I not only put the stuff in the holder that helps keep the water clear, I also put mosquito dunks in the holder. If I don't, the mosquito dunks float on the surface of the water, and my horses think they are toys to play with and demolish them. I put a couple of rocks in the bottom of the holder to keep them in one place in the bottom of the stock tank so that it is easy for me to find them again to put more of the tank cleaner and mosquito dunks in them once a month. I won't say that they keep the water perfectly clear, but with the barley bags I also use they eliminate that messy icky job of tank cleaning in the summer.

Keeps my horses tank fairly clean. About once a month I have to drain it and clean the tank. But this used to be a 2X a week chore.
