Doesn't seem to work that well.

I had just used a small piece of a shamwow that i'd wet down. Put these in and they seemed to work for a spell, but now need to moisten more often then the shamwow.

Replaced the nasty little green sponge inside the black puck that comes with some humidors. Popped off the back, threw away nasty sponge that doesn't do anything, add about 15-20 of these beads and snapped the puck back together. Add only distilled water in a small bowl with the puck to absorb for about 30 minutes-45 minutes. They swell up fine and placed in humidor. Keeps humidly anywhere from 70-75%. When it gets down to mid 60's, I do the same water process as before. You do not need to replace the beads every time. The little packet should last you for a year or more.

The cigar oasis beads keep my humidor at optimal levels. my old beads had wore out. I am glad that i can count on cigar oasis to manage humidity in my big humidor cabinet.
Great refill for containers

Just the right amount of beads to fill the containers I had. I would not use water with it, a solution from on the cigar companies is much better and they tend to hold a constant humidity better with the solution.

Put about 1 tsp in my Oasis Plus after removing all the green foam (used a spoon through the hole). Filled a little over half way with distilled water. Humidity in my cabinet is much more stable and recovers much faster after opening. Also doesn't need refilling as often.
