Don't Buy This, Look Elsewhere

I had this adapter for 2 months and it worked fine. Then the display went dead, and only output a black screen. I posted a review about this, and the seller reached out to offer a replacement under warranty. I had to send back the adapter before he sent the replacement, which was inconvenient but understandable. However, while the replacement I received was functional, it only output 1080p @ 60Hz rather than the advertised 4K. It also would occasionally cause the display to appear distorted, as though certain colors were shifted to the left. I contacted the seller about my issues, and he once again sent out a replacement. This replacement was dead on arrival. At this point I don't have much faith in getting a working adapter. Also noteworthy, both times I was sent a replacement the seller did not apply enough postage to the package and I had to go to the post office and pay the difference to receive the item. I recommend finding a different adapter to purchase, this one isn't worth the hassle.

THIS IS THE DEVICE THAT WORKS! I've tried 13 different Display Port to HDMI/HDV adapters with no luck on my HP ENVY Phoenix H9-1350 (H3Z63AA#ABA). This adapter was the ONLY one that worked. It was the last one I tried too. I even purchased a new multi-monitor video card to try if this adapter did not work. This on works because it is an ACTIVE connection. All of the other adapters I tried, require that the signal be converted from a DisplayPort "data packet" protocol, to the constant signal HDMI/HDV format.

Did not work properly. I purchased this to work with an Oculus Rift because the Insignia that was sold to me at Best Buy was $25 and I wanted to save some money. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. This item only produced sound through the Rift but had no video. I tried multiple ports on the PC to no avail. The second I plugged back in the Insignia adapter, the video came up. It could possibly be the device was just defective and a new one would do the trick but when it comes to returning and then ordering and returning and ordering, I'd rather just keep the one I have that I know works.
Doesn't live up to the hype.

It works, sort of. Despite the claims, it does not output 3840x2160 at 60Hz for me. In addition, the audio, which worked perfectly on my previous setup, now occasionally cuts out for no rhyme or reason. I thought it might be the HDMI cable, but the one I'm using works fine when connected directly to a Geforce GTX 970's HDMI output at 60hz (yes, it's an HDMI 2.0a cable). It does allow my PC to recognize the receiver as a 7.1 surround setup, but the audio itself cutting out makes it sort of pointless.

Bought this to run 4K 60Hz from my GTX760 display port to my Samsung KU6300 HDMI input. Worked great after putting TV in PC mode and manually configuring a custom resolution on my PC, and MANUALLY setting the timing during custom resolution setup.
