A bargain for autometer gauge users
Chris Conley✓ Verified Purchase•June 23, 2017
Same as autometer transducer at 1/6th the cost. Same input voltage and range voltage. Can't say that it's any different than the original autometer transducer that failed in two years. The plug is identical to and mates perfectly with my 30 psi autometer fuel pressure gauge harness plug. At $17.00 and change I ordered another one to have on hand. Autometer wanted $120.00 for there version with the same specifications as this one. My gauge reads the same as it did with the original.

works awesome
5 star transducer for periodic use. Accuracy better than expected considering the cost.

This pressure transducer was a super find for the price. I was able to calibrate the transducer to within 5% of a known good gauge. This was a one time use so I can not say how long it will perform well. I had to measure the fuel pressure on my car while driving. It was flawless in operation with a sample rate of about 40 samples per second. The housing is sturdy and the threads provided a leak proof seal which is important to keep gas from spraying on the engine. When using the transducer, you must use a well regulated 5V supply. A shift in supply voltage will result in a shift in the output. I've used expensive transducers at work but am quite impressed by the function of this transducer at a rock bottom price. This transducer is ideal to be used with an Arduino micro controller or similar product. I give it 5 stars on performance, ease of use, finish quality, and cost.
So Far So Good - Try a Pressure Snubber
relevante✓ Verified Purchase•May 11, 2017
I was hesitant to buy these based on the other reviews, but had trouble finding anything else for my project that wasn't far more expensive. Then in the datasheet for one of the more expensive units, I noticed that they recommended using a pressure snubber in front of their sensor. So I found some appropriate NoShok snubbers and have been using these sensors with those snubbers. So far I have three units installed on various parts of my home well system for 1-2 weeks and they're working perfectly. Two of them are actually running very close to their rated limit as well (150PSI sensors and my pump pressure regularly hits 145PSI). From what I read in that other datasheet, this kind of sensor technology is vulnerable to short spikes in pressure that might not even register on an analog gauge. So I can't say for sure, but using a high quality pressure snubber to protect the sensor from any pressure impulses might be the trick.
I'll update this review if I see any failures.
