Perfect for mixed drinks!
Jardingal•January 23, 2018
This cube is perfect for my gin and tonic! Regular cubes melt quickly, but these last much longer and make the drink much colder, even just using one cube. I had absolutely no difficulty getting the cubes out once frozen; it was much easier than I expected based on some reviews. Although the trays are not rigid like standard ice cube trays, they are not without substance. Yes, you can spill some water on your way to the freezer, but I do that with regular trays! Easily solved by using a small tray for stability in carrying to the freezer. Good product.
Arcane wizardry creates mystically chilly beverages
Eric Shuman•January 15, 2018
I put water in them, then a while later I get free ice. If I push them the ice comes out. If the ice doesn't come out I leave the thing on the counter for five minutes and then the ice comes out. I wanted these trays because the cubes are huge, 65 cubic centimeters. I didn't think operating ice trays was a life skill but reading the other reviews on this product changed my mind. If you want big ice cubes and feel like you can safely operate an ice tray, I recommend these trays.
Huge ice cubes, easy to remove
post_break•January 6, 2018
Huge ice, no weird smells. These are rigid enough for me to put into the freezer with one hand and the ice cubes are huge. I don't have any issues pulling the cubes out like some people have said. Just take it easy and don't try to rip them out as fast as you can. I love that they stack too. Using these things you can make a lot of ice fast.
Love them - How to get clear cubes
Robert Bailey•June 7, 2017
To get clear cubes - Use distilled water. Bring it to a boil, let it cool, bring it to a 2nd boil and let it cool again. Fill the trays, cover with saran wrap letting the wrap come in contact with the water so there is no air. Freeze. Remove wrap after frozen and remove cubes. I store my cubes in a gallon size freezer bag with as much of the air removed as possible.
Great for freezing other things besides water

I just used these to make blocks of basil pesto that I freeze for later. Had an abundant garden this year. Worked perfectly. Looking forward to some pesto sauce this winter. Next I plan making cubes of vegetable broth for soup. So hard to find good canned veg broth,so I make my own. I think the large size is very handy for this. Ice cubes, you say? Nah-I'm into off product uses.
