Nice butt...

Nice that it keeps necessary parts of job in one place, cutter, heat and spool.
I did notice the holes for different sizes are all smaller than average home-depot paracord. I mimic-ed the hole style and drilled a larger hole in the empty edge. (careful of angles to wedge V with hacksaw) better to v small and using finger-nail file to size access to hole) Now, it is excellent.
Manufacturers should have greater spread of whole sizes in original plans, whereas they make two of same sizes, all small.
Would I get another? Yes, but would customize it, too, as standard sizes change.

I like it and it works very well

I like it and it works very well...EXCEPT for one small issue, it doesn't work well with Type IV 750 paracord. It wraps OK, bit the keyhole slots provided for tying it off (I presume) do not go large enough for 750 cord...best for 550 cord or smaller.
Functional...sort of

I'm a sucker for organization but I was a little hesitant because the price tag. After getting hands on I'm not disappointed. It has a replaceable razor blade to cut 550 and a mini bic lighter fits securely into it with a tab to prevent something in your pack depressing the lighter. It seems plenty sturdy but I'll update my review if I manage to break it.
UPDATE
Is it functional? Yes, practical? Maybe. I had roughly 70' of 550 left over and when done wrapping it was the size of a small nerf football. On the one hand it keeps the cord from being a tangled mess but it takes up way more space than just winding and wrapping it up by hand. I keep it in my vehicle for cordage but I wouldn't take it backpacking so kind of a waste. Take it as you want it's not a knock against how its made just kinda less useful for what I intended.

Awesome. Love it!

Great item. I get a lot of comments when I toss it to one of the guys to spool cord off of. The cutter works great. The little grommets on the side are a little tough at first to get the cord to bite into, but after you use it a few times it gets easier. I'm going to order more of these!
... for the razor on the assumption that they are easy to loose

Extremely well thought out right down to the extra stainless mounting screw for the razor on the assumption that they are easy to loose. I gave this one to my dad who has an excess of random lengths of 550 cord in his garage. This qualifies as one of the best gifts I ever gave him (I included a mini-bic lighter so it was complete). I wrapped a length of 550 on it and it has already saved ME time. Instead of searching for the right length of cord and then looking for a lighter to burn the edges, we just spooled some off the spool tool and burned the ends with the attached lighter. He's also been showing people all of the features so I'm pretty sure I done good on this one. The one thing that I would have doe differntly in this case is purchased a brighter color. I'm one day into this gift and I'd already pay double.
