Work well, but not for long

I have had several pairs of these ice cleats and have reviewed them before. Generally I believe they work well to improve traction on icy or snowy streets and sidewalks. They're also easy to put on and take off, and are reasonably comfortable. Their only significant drawback in my opinion is that they're not very durable. In my experience you can get only about 10-12 hours of use out of them before the little yellow cleats start coming loose and falling out of the rubber matrix. So, depending on how much walking you do in slippery conditions, you may have to replace these a couple times during a winter season.
Best traction. Feel safe on ice while wearing tbese

Best darn thing out there. I am a bus driver. Had slipped on ice prior to ordering these. Almost blew my knee out.Snow and ice on ground today. Put these on and feel 100% confident on ice. The traction is super strong and I am not hesitant at all to be in the lot where it is super icy. A MUST for anyone who works in the elements. Fits over boots well.
Work well.

I bought these because I work at an ice rink, and need to get across the ice quickly and easily. These work ok. I can't just walk across the ice, I have to shuffle. I can shuffle quickly, but if I try to just walk I'll slip and I'm afraid I'll fall. They just don't grip like I thought they would, but they get me across the ice unscathed.
The other issue I have is when I'm working a long shift and I'm back and forth the ice several times, I have to straighten them, because they start to shift and they won't grip as well. The center 6 spikes shift to the inside and I lose some of the traction. The shifting is annoying because I don't always have time to fix them, so I have to just take my time and move slowly until I have a minute to straighten them beneath my shoes.

Toes slip to one side - need to be readjusted mid-run

I wear a size 8 1/2 to 9 shoe in Women's, and ordered the medium to wear over my running shoes. They are a perfect fit. I have used them twice now to run on snow and ice, and was generally pleased. The only problem I had with these particular cleats is that they twist while running. I had to adjust them about 3-4 times per run (once or twice for every mile run) to move the spikes back under the toes. They tend to slowly creep to one side. If these cleats had spikes that spanned the entire ball of the foot, it may not be a problem. But the spikes are centered under the center of the foot, so when they slip, you don't get good contact with the spikes to the ground.
Having the spikes concentrated under the ball of the foot can also make running feel a little awkward at first, like my ankles were going to slip left and right (like you might when wearing a platform shoe) but it's not too bad. When I replace these, I will probably look for a set that has the spikes set wider on the ball of the foot. I didn't use the heel spikes much while running, because I run more on my toes, but they were helpful to have when I had to slow down in deeper snow or slicker ice, or when running downhill on snow/ice.

Ice Grips

So I have a house in Vermont and walk on snow/ice covered hard pack dirt roads (a lot of roads like this in Vermont). I wear 10.5 boots/shoes. I put them on a pair of Lowa Renegade Hiker size 10.5. The Grips are a little loose, but out of the 3 different style pairs I have these are the best. Seems to be several different companies selling the same thing so I ordered a Large pair. The XL pair fit fine on a pair of Sorels I have. So I would advise if you are a 10.5 and using them on hikers order a Large.
