I bought this kennel when my dog was nearing end of life to keep him safe when I wasn't home. He was almost 17 years old with renal failure and visual impairment. I lined the bottom with absorbent pads and made him a soft bed. He was contained so he couldn't bump into things in the house and he peed at his leisure without ruining the floor. I think a he actually liked it because it made him feel secure when I wasn't with him. I liked it because it felt more like a baby play pin rather than a cage. This is a small kennel, perfect for my chihuahua. He passed recently and I miss him like crazy.
It is exactly as described but the description majorly understates how awesome it is in my opinion

I wish I could give it 10 stars. It is exactly as described but the description majorly understates how awesome it is in my opinion.
Anyone with a cat or small to medium size dog should own one. It is very light weight and setup takes all of 2 minutes. Just pull it out of the bag, open it up (it will pop open with very little effort) and zip the top and bottom into place. Putting it away is just as easy,

This is actually our second one. We bought the first one a few weeks ago for our old cat who can't seem to make it to her litter box anymore. We needed to contain her before she ruined our floors so we got the 24"x45" and it's just the right size to fit a litter box, bed and scratcher with a little room left to move around. I really liked it (and she was finding the box), however, I was concerned that she wasn't getting any exercise. If it was just a temporary setup like for travel or something then it wouldn't be an issue but it's her permanent home now. So, we bought a second playpen and a popup agility training tunnel for dogs, and linked the two pens together. I wish I had gotten a smaller tunnel, but, other than the tunnel length, it's a perfect setup and she loves it. She walks back and forth and even plays with some toys in the tunnel. Best cat containment/play center you could ask for.

Did I mention that I can take it all down, fold it up and stash it in a corner of the closet in about 5 minutes?

Next on the list is to get a third one so I can stack it on top of one of these. I'll clip them together with binder clips, leave off the top of the lower pen and bottom of the upper pen. Then put a medium size cat tree in it to create a kitty play land! The possibilities are endless!
LOVE LOVE LOVE- If you foster this is the playpen!

AMAZING! Dont hesitate to buy this! So I have been around my fair share of play pens for animals, as I have volunteered at no kills shelters for almost 15 years now. I have always been a bottle baby foster as well, meaning I take in orphaned kittens and feed them around the clock every two hours until they are old enough for adoption (side note do not try to take care of an orphaned kitten if you dont know how they are super fragile. You cant feed them on thir back, have to stimulate them to use the rest room, and keep their body temperature at a certain level). I have been able to try different ones that the shelters had, plus I have had a few myself. I moved to a small town that has only one humane society, meaning the funding is almost none existent. I knew I needed a new playpen for my fosters. Kittens will stay contained until about 1 month and then they are 2 year old kids for like the last month. They love to get into everything, exploring, crying when your not around, all that fun stuff. This thing was so perfect! It opened right up, super easy to attach the bottom and top (if needed). The thing is a perfect size for what I need it for. The quality is really good, which mattered to me. I have in the past had kittens rip these things up so fast. This one was really good at holding up, plus the structure is very solid. The carry case and ease of it all makes it easier to let them explore a bit as they get older. I can rest assured they are safe and in one place, they tend to get lost or stuck and then cry. They can see me so it helps them go to sleep, but gives them ample room to run around. As you can see in my pictures, I have a little box, toys, mini cat tree scratching post, and food all in there. They even have their heating pad under the blanket. When I am away I put the top on so I know my cats wont decide to jump in. Overall, I should have ordered my own and this one a long time ago, would have saved me a lot of wasted time on trying to track them down and going through cheaper ones. I also have fostered puppies and injured animals, this thing is great for that as well. Any dog over 20-30lbs could jump out without the top. Also for traveling this is a great portable crate, I will be using this when we camp! Cant say enough about the quality, the size, the functionality, and even the EXTRA pockets! I received this yesterday. I read many reviews before deciding on this one. I'm giving this five stars because it does what I need it to do. I think you have to keep in mind that this is, in fact, a soft-side playpen. If your dog is a chewer and you plan on leaving it unattended for long periods of time, you will probably be dissatisfied with this product. Common sense, however, says you would never put a human baby in a playpen and leave him/her unattended, so why would you do the same thing with a dog?

I have a 10 week old Havanese puppy who is on the go all the time and will chew anything. I don't want to keep her in her smaller sleeping crate all the time, but I can't justify leaving her loose either because of her chewing. We tried a larger wire cage but she got her mouth stuck in it while biting it and I was afraid she'd hurt herself. For me, this cloth one fits the bill. It's the perfect size for her, and it's light weight. Wherever I'm at in the house or the yard, I can easily carry it so that she can see me. She's also a jumper, but the pen is sturdy enough to support her weight. I haven't zipped the top on yet, but the sides are tall enough that even without it she is unable to jump out. I sprayed it with Bitter No Chew (any pet store will have similar products) to help curtail chewing, and put her toys in to entertain her. Because I keep an eye on her, I can also dissuade her when she tries to chew.

I love that it folds flat, which makes it easy to store or pack for travel. I contacted the seller (on a Sunday) to make sure that the bottom is waterproof, and the seller responded the same day that it is waterproof. I think there could possibly be leakage through the zipper, but if you're worried about it, training pads could be placed underneath. Because we are still in the early stages of training, I wanted a removable bottom that could be washed if need be.

I'm not a customer who is concerned that the dog may chew this. The price is such that I don't feel I'm out a whole lot if she does chew it. I'd rather have her chew this than my furniture or cabinetry. She is supervised while in it, and she won't hurt herself as she did with the cage.

UPDATE: My review from a year ago still stands. This was a lifesaver. I eventually had to put the zippered top on to keep her from jumping out, and it worked perfectly. I did end up getting a small tarp to place underneath it to catch any leakage from the zipper around the bottom though training pads worked just as well. It survived a very hyper puppy, and although she no longer needs a playpen because she's mellowed, it is still in excellent condition. Still 5 stars.
outstanding product (and price)!

My now eighteen-pound French Bulldog puppy loves this playpen (and so do I)! The construction is surprisingly sturdy, and as much as this little guy bounces around in there, it is very durable. I recently left his collar on top of the pen, and he jumped up and down over and over and tried clawing at the top to get to the collar. The zipper stayed secure, and there was no tearing of the fabric. The pen's top and bottom have zippers, so--unlike the ones with velcro--there is no chance your pet can find a way out. You can unzip the top and step inside (without giving the pup a chance to dash out) to clean up an accident or give treats. The bottom unzips for washing. When my puppy is full grown, he will have plenty of room in the pen to sleep, play, and just chill. It's all vinyl, so accidents clean up easily.

UDPDATE: Do not buy this product if your pet is fairly strong. As my review said, it worked great for my puppy when he was under 20 pounds. Now that he is 24 pounds, he was able to jump against the sides and roll it until it collapsed around him. Doing that bent the frame so that the zipper broke. I still think it's a great product for very small pets, but definitely not a six month old tank of a puppy.
