We have tried three other bedwetting alarm systems before this one, even the highest price Chummie system, but this works best of all because my child didn't have the alarm box to wear on her pajamas or the clip to wear on her underwear, which she hated and was always coming off anyway. The other advantage is that it comes with two pads, so when she wets the bed you have the clean one to switch out immediately. I always put the dirty one in the washer right away just in case, but thankfully she always stayed dry through the rest of the night. The only disadvantage is the fragility of the cord that connects to the snaps which connect to the sensor pads, as other reviewers have mentioned. It's common sense that you don't pull a connector from the wire- you pull from the connector, but this is more difficult when you're fumbling around at 2AM and you have an incessant alarm blaring in your ear! Be sure to always disconnect from the snap and not the wire and you should be ok, but when we did have a cord failure I emailed the company and they responded within minutes offering a replacement cord.

These alarm and pad system operate as advertised. The alarm connects to the pad via snaps and the alarm can rest anywhere from about 2.5 to 3 feet away from where it connects to the pad. My child had no issues with the feel of the mat, and can sleep directly on the pad or with the pad underneath the fitted sheet without any issues. The alarm is adjustable and can be quit soft or very loud. I'm glad it came with a second pad. Easy to through it washer for cleaning. It says you can tumble dry medium but I just let it air dry out of the washer and its ready to use again after a few hours. Happy with this purchase.

Stopped using them only because it was for an incognant adult with dementia and was having to wash them and bedding daily and he would unhook the alarm...so I never knew when they needed changing...but it's a good product for young bed wetters...

My son is 9 and is to a point that he is frustrated and embarrassed by bed wetting. I looked into a much more expensive product, but decided to try this one first because it was so much more affordable.
My son is not particularly sweaty, but the first week we had trouble with the alarm going off because of a very small amount of sweat. I put the mat under the fitted sheet and we had the same problem. We were both frustrated and exhausted since the alarm was going off 3 or more times a night. I was almost ready to give and buy the more expensive one when we gave one more thing a try. I put an extra flat sheet over the fitted sheet and mat. It was an extra layer against sweat but I hoped it would still set off the alarm for an accident. It WORKED! We are both getting more sleep and after a very rough first week we are two weeks in and have two consecutive nights dry!
It took some creative problem solving but this system works and it's a fraction of the price of similar systems!

The sensor works well and it's nice there are 2 pads. The alarm has volume control, but it can get turned up pretty loud. Don't throw these in the drier though"¦ we're now down to one pad 😬
