Very skeptical at first like some other reviews! But it proved to be an awesome product! Worked great and seems well constructed! Unfortunately the sound bar I also purchased, Vizio, did not work. The sound bar returned to Amazon, the Stanley Shelf kept! At least one of the items worked! LOL

Otherwise great product! Worth the price of admission!

Simple but totally effective way to raise a cable box or other small unit. Placing the receiver on the same surface as the TV was too low for our remote to see from our bed . Using this shelf, mounted on top of the TV, supports the receiver securely, and makes it visible from around the room. "Installation" was a mere extension of the support to level the shelf on top of the TV. Done!
The rubber mat keeps the receiver from slipping on the metal shelf. Sturdy, simple, and reasonably priced. It solved my problem.

I have been looking at shelves and wall mounts for my tv boxes and then came across this on Amazon. I don't like having to drill into my walls so when I saw this, I had to give it a try. It's a fantastic concept and application is terrific. I have used it for my tv boxes and remotes. Make sure you take note of the size before purchasing. If you need one for a larger component, purchase the larger shelf.

I got the 24" largest one and I'm very pleased! I was a bit worried that the legs wouldn't be long enough. I have a very thin monitor and I have it very low on the desk slanted up, so I was afraid that at it's most steep angle, it wouldn't be level. However, I had another inch or so to spare. It helped that my monitor gets thicker, the further away from the edge you go.

Two minor nits:

1) When I opened the box, the rubber non-stick pad (think carpet anti-slip pad) was coming detached. I could have just rested it but it would have slide around unless I glued it. That said, I'm glad it came detached so easily because I like the smooth surface. The things I have resting on it all have anti-slip rubber pads on the bottom so the extra pad was really unnecessary for me. YMMV.

2) Because my monitor is at such a steep angle and the front lip of shelf wraps over the front, the felt pad is inadequate to prevent contact between the metal of the shelf and the plastic/glass front of my monitor. I suspect that over time, a line will be worn into the monitor. Not a problem for me because it's outside of the viewing area and this problem is specific to me due to the steep angle I like my monitor.

This works great! In fact, I just ordered a second one. Set up is as easy as putting the adjustment arms down at 45 degrees, tighten and put on to of TV. Thats it! Then put the anti slip rubber sheet down and set your soundbar on it! No screws, If your TV is already mounted on the wall, you dont even need to take it down to put this on.
