Great idea but only works about 1/4 of the time. App was easy, set-up was easy but when we get to the final all-important print moment, the app sends the photo to the printer and....it only prints about 1 in every 4 or 5 times. The first two printed great, then it was downhill. I replaced the entire paper set, rebooted and again the first one printed but then...nada. Haven't given up on it completely but frustrating and lacks key functionality.

I hesitated to get this after reading the reviews..HOWEVER, I had no problems downloading the app (though, I didn't use the one pictured in instructions, I used the other from the app store, also for the zip). It pulled up my pictures without a problem, I went thru and used some of the filters and borders. Yes, the pictures are not crystal clear, they're what you'd expect from a polaroid. Recognizable photos, but not high quality.
For kids to use, and just for "fun" it's a good little item. I like the sticky back photo paper, they're cute for kids rooms, college dorms, etc.
My only beef with this .. price. It really should be more of a $50 printer....

It was great till the app stopped seeing the zip printer. I tried contacting the app customer service, to no avail. Polaroid people just walked me through same trouble shooting recipes that I already tried multiple times. They said it was past warrantee and just buy another. The printer is barely a year old.
Fun little printer but weird app

First, the printer works great and the little pictures come out really neat. I set this up on an iphone and an android phone and the app is very different on each which seems weird. The android app (downloaded from the play store) seems to much more user friendly and has more functionality than the iphone app (downloaded from the app store). The icon for the android app looks like the polaroid icon and is named "polaroid zip" that is shown on the guide that comes with the printer, but on the iphone is is called "SnapTouch" and the interface looks completely different from the product description. I was able to print out photos fine from both phones, but the difference with apps was just odd.
Edit on your phone, not within the app.

I was iffy about buying this after reading all the reviews saying the images printed dark. The trick is to make the image lighter on your phone, do not edit within the app. The picture on the left was made brighter within the app and the one on the right was edited on my phone first. Love this product.
