Did the job for me last night in a torrential desert downpour. Have a very old aluminum door to my sunroom that lets water in and has no repair or replacement available. Last night more water gushed in under this door than I've ever seen. Deployed these -all 3 of them, one behind the other - and deluge stopped. Best thing was that I dragged them outside this morning to evaporate outdoors, instead of the carpet releasing the moisture inside the sunroom. as it usually does. Fortunately, in the desert - no mold. Our storms are seasonal, so tonight I'll probably have to put them back; they're almost dried out already, at noon.
They are still pretty effective.

A lot of soil comes from my neighbor's yard when it rains, and it clogs the street in front of my house. I put two of these in the gutter. They worked perfectly for several weeks. Now he has driven over one and the filling has squished out. They are still pretty effective.

I would give this no stars if I could. This item is a joke. It does not swell up to 4 inches. Maybe an 1 1/2. I would not recommend this item at all. Also, it doesn't stop the flow of water at all.

These sandbags start out flat, but really absorb flooding water efficiently. Contractors installed our sliding glass doors incorrectly, and we had major flooding in our lanai. I purchased these bags hoping to stem the tide the next ferocious rain storm, and they held back the flood beautifully!! I keep a pack on hand at all times, even though we had new doors installed. You never know when they will come in handy again!!

Had unbelievable rains here and was getting water in the side door of my garage! Did not want sandbags which are heavy and leave sand all over! Purchased these in a hurry, they came fast and worked like a charm. Only needed two of the four! My garage is now dry and will stay that way. Shake them and place them and they soak up like crazy. Just ordered more since it is hurricane season and we may need them somewhere down the line. Small and compact package is easy to store without taking up space. I am over the moon for these!
