This sauce isn't very hot for a habanero hot sauce. I like spicy food so I'd rate this as a 4 or 5 out of 10. It'll be higher up if you don't do spicy much, but it is very middle of the run as far as the range goes. That said, it is delicious. I don't often enjoy sauces that are hot for the sake of heat without the flavor, but this one packs a reasonable punch while having a rich and developed taste. It's spicy enough to give a kick to many different foods, but it doesn't take away from that food's flavor; it just enhances it. Keep in mind, this is a sauce on the thicker side and not watery like Tabasco. I just figured you might be curious to know that.

I've been using aardvark for quite some time and it's still one of my favorite sauces. At any given time i have 3-5 hot sauces in my fridge and this one always hits the spot. This sauce has replaced sriracha for me. Don't get me wrong, i'll always use sriracha for pho or most asian foods. This sauce is just great on EVERYTHING( Pizza, meats, eggs, fried rice). It's a bargain for the price and the amount you get. It tastes very similar to the Hot Ones sauce at a fraction of the price. I've become desensitized to the spice so it might be a bit "hot" for some, but if you like spicy foods/sauces definitely give this one a try.

Heard a lot of hype around this sauce, and after seeing it on "Hot Ones," I decided to give it a try. It definitely has a different taste from your vinegar-based sauces. Rich and complex, but not too much. I'd describe it as savory, with undertones of spices and veggies. The consistency is medium thickness, with a little bit of runny-ness that I like to see in hot sauces. I'd say the hype is a bit over-played, as I wasn't totally blown away like many have described, but I do like it. The heat level is ideal for me to enjoy regularly. I'd give it a 4-5 out of 10 for spiciness. I've enjoyed this sauce on pizza, breakfast foods, tacos, and here's a great one- put a puddle of it on the rim of a light beer with a tiny bit of salt!

This stuff is hot! But it's also delicious. A lot of really-hot hot sauce is just punishing to eat without offering much to enjoy, but I found this sauce to be so delicious that it makes you want more and more until your mouth is on fire.
Buying one bottle of it is expensive, but it becomes a better value when you go for the 3 (or more) packs.
