The Real Deal CLIPPER
Cameron✓ Verified Purchase•September 5, 2023
The ones I received are the genuine article. Ultra high quality recycled nylon, removable and replaceable flintwheel assembly, refill valve in base, high quality and gloss printed decal, five-lobed wheel that is easy on the thumb. As an authentic CLIPPER, they are made in Spain by FLAMAGAS.
At right is the sparkwheel assembly that is described to be used as a tamping device and also from where the flint can be replaced.

Good but....

Fast shipping. Only thing is one came broken. When I tried to put the piece back on and used it only made sparks and started smoking a little. So had to throw it in the trash
Better than Bic lighters - works great with tobacco pipe

I love this 8pack for $8. They are very easy to use and refill. I will not buy another Bic brand lighter. Found that if I add fuel the flame is higher and more suited for pipe smoking. You will not go wrong with these - just buy them and get yourself a decent butane refill can.
AWESOME!

Great price and you can refill them! Haven't had to though as of yet!!
Excellent lighter for smokers that don't carry a pipe tool

I've either always used a Bic, which always led to the "bic stain" on the bottom of the lighter, or a Colibri or Corona. Those last 2 are a little more expensive while not really offering anything new that the Clipper doesn't also offer. Admittedly, I do have a few Colibri's and Corona's in both butane and kerosene (lighter fluid) versions, as butane doesn't alter the flavor of whatever might be your preferred accoutrement like the lighter fluid version does.
I'm just an old school smoker that never knew about Clipper lighters until seeing a post in High Times about them. I was intrigued by a replaceable, refillable butane lighter that came with pipe tools either built in as a feature (ie the bottom of the lighter is a tamper, while the flint has a probe). My only complaint is the smaller diameter, but I believe that's due to me using either a Bic with a pipe tool or one of my butane pipe lighters like one of my Colibri's.
