Great replacement!!!
B. Patrick•July 1, 2017
I use these lamps for emergency, batteries last for ever, till they go bad and leak and sit there eating the metal contacts away. So I checked the dates on all my batteries on everything! You can put the cartridge in a container of water and a lot of baking soda and just let it sit for a couple of weeks, will clean it right up! But, being that I use these for emergencies, right away, it's important to have an extra!!!!
Batteries Not Included.

A great alternative to the expensive replacement rechargeable battery packs. D-Cell batteries insure long performance and use. Plus these batteries are available just about everywhere.

Amazon The Great!•June 14, 2017
The Coleman unit I bought originally came with a rechargeable battery that was useless after the first time I used the lantern and put it into storage. Unfortunately, the lantern was out of warranty when I discovered that the battery would no longer work. I prefer the 4D Battery Cartridge over the rechargeable catrtridge, so it work out well.
Great replacement

This was a replacement for the original that decided it was never going to open again. I have had less trouble with this on than the cartridge that came with the lantern.

Does the job, just be careful with the tab that opens the lid. It is rather flimsy and I suspect it will be the likely point of failure. It is simply a molded piece of plastic with a lip that slides past a slot. Its one of those "push in the tab with a fingernail and lift the lid while maintaining pressure" jobs.
