A solid product that could use some UI improvements

Overall, I think this is a good product. Set-up was relatively straight-forward (though I did initially have a wifi range issue), and I've found the features and functionality to be very good for my single outdoor shade application. It also has functioned very reliably - raising and lowering my shade (including to the "my" position) as scheduled. I've taken off one star, though, because of the iOS interface. It's very clunky and can be slow at times. For scheduling the shade, it's fine, but I would never rely on it as my remote. It's far too slow.

I just got this today and it was extremely easy to connect to my 3 awnings. I read all the previous reviews and was a little scared, but after going online and checking the installation video (make sure to see that one to save a lot of time trying to figure this out, Somfy website or Youtube) it was then a breeze to get up and running. Just follow the instructions and it all worked the first time around for me. The Mylink did a firmware update automatically as soon as I connected it to my wifi. The unit I got are the newer ones that the number start with CC and Somfy is written vertically so it can probably be connected with Alexa, except that I do not care for that. It works perfectly with my iPhone and then I also put the software in my iPad and it works also. Very easy and I am very happy. If this changes I will put an update.

Works great, once configured (30 mins configuration for 4 devices), make sure that you are getting Rev2.0 of the product not the legacy one.

I agree that the unit is expensive, but has been working as advertised for me. The setup procedure seems to fail the first time around, but repeating the exact same steps seems to work. Since then the unit has worked perfectly for me. I have five window shades on four channels and they are now programmed to go down at sunset and up and sunrise. Works flawlessly. Range is not a big problem since I am only using it to control shades in one room. I find it important that the little antenna wires on each side are properly positioned.
I have subsequently purchased a second unit that is deployed on the opposite side of the house. Interestingly the setup failed the first time, worked the second - exactly like my first experience. This unit also works fine.
I wish they would open their API or simply integrate with other smart home systems (SmartThings, amazon echo, etc.)
