Helps a lot but I should've gotten the 3" topper

Love it but I keep thinking I should have bought the 3". I have a herniated disc and needed relief from the rock of an IKEA mattress we were given upon moving, lol. We had already a 1" foam topper so I figured the 2" would be good enough which it sort of is but I slightly wish there was that extra inch of squish if that makes sense. It did have a strong scent upon unwrapping. I tried to let it air out for a bit but it still lingered after a day. After a week the scent transferred to our fitted sheet so I washed that. Now the scent is barely there.

I used this 1 inch Dunlop latex topper inside the cheapest sleep number bed, over the air bladder, under the upper ticking. This c2 model of mattress has no cushioning at all between the air bladder and the zippered mattress top, and when you set the number to soften the mattress, the air bladder shrinks down a bit, making the firmer foam edges a bit higher than the inside area. The one inch foam topper filled this in, to make the bed level while at a softer setting, and also give a little cushion over the hard air bladder. Had to trim it down a bit to fit it within the foam borders, to the size of the air bladder, but it worked perfectly. Not sleeping directly on this foam...added a thicker talalay layer on top of the whole mattress for that, but this is a good item.

SO GLAD I made the splurge! I am currently pregnant and have been unable to get a good night's rest now for awhile. SO i purchased this and... WOW. I literally have never slept so good in my life. I'm super sensitive to chemicals and I can't have anything with chemicals in it. Therefore memory foam is out of the question for me, and thankfully this latex is totally natural and chemical free. I am thankful to the manufacturer for making a healthy, quality product at a decent price!

Can't recommend this enough. I have this 3" latex soft topper on both of my beds now - bedroom and daybed. I need a firm support mattress, but my joints hate it. With the soft toppers, I get to keep my firm mattress support, but the topper makes it feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. It's so comfortable I look forward to bedtime or siesta. I put a nice tv in the bedroom a few years ago, but I haven't been able to watch a single thing because I fall asleep within a minute or two of climbing into bed. If you have problems getting comfortable on a firm bed, don't make the mistake of buying a soft mattress that will offer poor support. Just get a soft topper! Your body will thank you. I use a deep mattress cover and BedVoyage bamboo sheets (deep corners), which only add to the comfort level.
