It was shipped to the wrong address, but when I finally picked it up, got it home to my apt. and opened it up, I had to put it in the closet to air out. The smell was strong and it stayed in there for over a month until it didn't bother my breathing anymore. Once I got it on the bed, it was very comfortable to sleep on. I am glad I got the 3" instead of the 2" as the extra cushion helps. I put it on my organic bed that was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I could feel the springs and it was awful. This topper has made this bed comfortable. I don't feel the springs anymore and it is cheaper than buying a new bed and healthier for me. I would definitely recommend this.

We purchased a new mattress a few months ago that was considerably firmer than what we perceived it to be in the store. Rather than deal with the retailer's cumbersome return policy, we purchased a memory foam topper with excellent online reviews. It proved to be a huge disappointment. Although comfortable and manufactured in the US, the memory foam topper had a strong chemical odor that persisted after over 2 months. The smell permeated our bedding, and regardless of manufacturer claims, it clearly could not be healthy for us sleeping on it.

I looked for non-memory foam alternatives, including the numerous down-alternative toppers. I quickly dismissed them because they are notorious for the stuffing moving and getting compressed from the weight of sleeping on them.

I had read about the longevity, comfort and safety of natural latex mattresses, but had not seen a latex topper until researching them online. We received the 3 inch latex mattress topper a few days ago, and let it air out for a couple of days before finally placing it on our bed. Even right out of the box, the topper only had a slight odor that was not the least bit offensive. After sleeping on it for a night, we found it to be very comfortable and free of noticeable odor.

Natural latex is a much different material than memory foam. It is is firmer and more "springy" than memory foam, providing better support. After reading the reviews, we correctly decided to order the "Soft" latex topper. We found it to be a perfect complement to our overly firm mattress. If it were any firmer, we'd probably not be as pleased with its comfort.

Love it but I keep thinking I should have bought the 3". I have a herniated disc and needed relief from the rock of an IKEA mattress we were given upon moving, lol. We had already a 1" foam topper so I figured the 2" would be good enough which it sort of is but I slightly wish there was that extra inch of squish if that makes sense. It did have a strong scent upon unwrapping. I tried to let it air out for a bit but it still lingered after a day. After a week the scent transferred to our fitted sheet so I washed that. Now the scent is barely there.

We immediately noticed a big difference with this mattress topper. I am a side sleeper and always tossed and turned because my shoulder and hip would get sore, even though we had a waffle mattress topper. Now I have no more pain and wake up refreshed and still find it hard to believe this topper made such a great difference. I just wish we would have bought this sooner and we couldn't be more please. I would buy this again.
