PERFECT SOLUTION FOR A TOO FIRM BED!!! On second thought, the odor might be getting to me

I have been having severe back problems. A few months ago it was suggested I replace my 17 year old mattress. So, after much research, I ended up ordering a foam mattress that did not work out. I then went to a local company who makes mattresses to order. It is a combination individual coil spring and foam. It was a $1300 mattress and I chose to get it pretty firm. Well, it was not very comfortable. I have the option of them picking up the mattress and remaking it to my specification but they only do that once and what if it went too far on the soft side? So I decided to keep it as was and order this topper. I went with the 2" (could have probably been good with the 3" but the 2" is fine). Doubt that it will cure by back issues but I have to say that I now think I have the most comfortable bed I could imagine!!!! I kept a mattress cover on the mattress, added the topper and then ordered a 100% cotton mattress pad that goes on top. It IS winter, but I felt no excessive heat issues. I am very sensitive to odors and that was no problem. In fact I opened it last night, put it on the bed and slept on it. Didn't need to be aired out. Bottom line, I LOVE this topper.

I'm writing an update after sleeping on this a second night. My initial review stated that there was no odor. But, on the second night, I noticed an odor and could even smell it on my skin. Now I'm concerned. I woke up with a headache and hope it is not from the latex. I did cover it with an all cotton mattress pad but the odor seems to be penetrating that. I'll keep you posted. If it does not go away, I will have to return it.
Runs hot

The objective when buying this was to reduce the firmness of a Novaform Comfortgrande queen costco mattress.
This foam was just too soft to provide any real support (I'm 160 lbs), so what ends up happening is the foam completely compresses down to the original mattress surface. Then you have 2" of uncompressed foam surrounding your body. Because of this, airflow is limited and these areas become hot and sweaty, even in winter. Keep in mind, I was only using a sheet directly on top of this foam topper. I imagine adding a cotton/polyester cover would help with the breath-ability and heat reduction. I would recommend the soft version of this topper in the 1" version, but only as a plush pillow topper to a mattress that doesn't already have one built in, the 2" thickness is just too much and feels suffocating. I will probably try the firm or medium firm version of this topper next. As far as the material goes, this brand seems worth the money, there is a slight odor, but it's a natural one and dissipates quickly. Be careful moving this topper because it feels like it could tear without much effort.
Rough start but good finish!

It was shipped to the wrong address, but when I finally picked it up, got it home to my apt. and opened it up, I had to put it in the closet to air out. The smell was strong and it stayed in there for over a month until it didn't bother my breathing anymore. Once I got it on the bed, it was very comfortable to sleep on. I am glad I got the 3" instead of the 2" as the extra cushion helps. I put it on my organic bed that was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I could feel the springs and it was awful. This topper has made this bed comfortable. I don't feel the springs anymore and it is cheaper than buying a new bed and healthier for me. I would definitely recommend this.
Excellent!!

Excellent!!!!! 2 inch, full, soft. I've been using memory foam toppers and pillows. I remembered as a kid I had a "bouncy" pillow that I loved. Down alternative and memory foam was and still is highly marketed. It's taken me decades to finally figure out what it was. LATEX foam!! Anything else is garbage. Replaced my pillows with latex foam and I've been using the Pure Green 100% Natural Latex Topper for about a week. Not too soft, not too firm. The latex smell dissipated quickly. It arrived in perfect condition, secured in plastic. I thought I would need scissors to remove the plastic, however the wrapping of the product is unique. The plastic protecting the topper is secured with cling wrap that sticks to itself. Genius. I love this company and I love their product. Thank you!!
Latex Mattresses are the Shiznit

I love this. It was a perfect topper for my Englander firm dunlop latex mattress that I bought nine years ago. The original mattress is so well built that after that time it only has about 1/4th of an inch of depression - if that.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have specified that my mattress had three layers of latex - 2 inches of soft, 2 inches of medium, and 4 inches of firm - top, middle, and bottom. That way, it would all be bound together and I'd get the best wear and tear also.

Honestly, I'll never go back to coils, memory foam, or anything else.
