Quality Chisels for their price Range

Nice chisels, they did require honing, the bevels had significant scratches. Although I feel these are nice carving chisels they are not a starter set as stated. Most are too big for any detail carving. It needs a smaller gouge in this set.

These wood carving tools are great for the price. Very sharp and cut through mahogany like butter. Sturdier than other tools I have bought in the past for a similar price. Nice variation of tools for my purposes. Ideally, I would like something a little more heavy duty but from what I could find you have to pay a premium for that. Overall, very pleased with their performance.

As usual with this company very acceptable tools at a very reasonable price. Trying to take up a new hobby like wood carving can be daunting when you factor in the cost of chisels running upwards of $30 to $50 each. This set has a good variety of shapes for the beginner. They take and seem to hold a good edge. There are cheaper sets out there but I'll bet those are not half the quality these are!
