Great little box. It's passive so you'll need to send it an amplified signal (use a headphone amp). It takes one male XLR in -- if you use a TRS to XLR cable out of a stereo headphone output, you'll actually be sending stereo (unbalanced) signal down one cable. The end user can then set their preferred listening level using the volume knob.
I see some negative reviews on here...if you don't use this box properly it won't work. If you don't have a headphone amp or a means of amplifying the incoming signal then look for a powered version of this unit (a powered unit will take a battery or external power source).
